Without trying to over dramatise and fear mongoring, this situation, this situation could have serious implications and repercussion's for everyone. I can understand where Oracle are coming from, they are entitled to their revenue. If the Eskom Databases and other strategic software elements that reside on and/or integrate with Oracle Software are not being properly supported and maintained, it could have serious consequences for someone like Eskom (and by default us citizens). Treasury needs to get their ducks in a row, and instead of trying to bailout that vanity project SAA, this is where they need to spend our hard earned money. This is something that should not be taken lightly.
