Robert Gerstner und Karl Bradl gründeten ihr eigenes Duftlabel aus ihrer kleinen, feinen Parfümboutique in New York Citys West Village heraus. Doch jetzt haben sie ihre olfaktorische Schatzkiste in die Orchard Street im East Village verlegt. Umbruch und Aufbruch zugleich für die umtriebigen Besitzer. Und der ideale Zeitpunkt, um mit dem Relaunch der hauseigenen Parfümlinie ein neues Kapitel der AEDES DE VENUSTAS Erfolgsgeschichte aufzuschlagen.
Neben den bekannten Düften gibt es zwei neue: Encens Japonais und 16A Orchard Street.

Il costo? Tra i più alti delle materie prime della Profumeria.

An elegantly complex concoction, AEDES DE VENUSTAS Parfums, Pelargonium portrays its namesake ingredient like one of the mysterious floral compositions of Dutch Golden Age paintings. From the first spritz, strokes of bright, zingy lemon pepper and citrusy notes of mandarin orange paint their aromas onto an olfactory canvas. Mesmerised by its grace, you begin to notice the subtle facets of cardamom melding with a fragrant, slightly powdery Orris, shot through with flashes of Calabrian bergamot, that provides contrast to the richly textured ingredients. Musc Encensé, the name is not just a play on the French encens (incense) and insensé (crazy). Encenser means both to scent with incense and to praise to the skies. And Musc Encensé does exactly what it says on the bottle. Suede-smooth, slightly feral, subtly sexy, perfumer Ralf Schwieger’s tribute to Tonkin musk takes on AEDES DE VENUSTAS’ signature incense in a bold blend of the mystic and the animal.
To couple smoke and flesh, the perfumer adds an ambery accord that runs through the fragrance. Clary sage shoots aromatic accents through the top notes. The skin, sand and driftwood facets of cashmeran fuses the cool, mineral scent of incense with the animalic warmth of musk. A lick of tonka clouds the blend with almond-milk creaminess…
A yin yang balance of extremes, Musc Encensé will feel madly musky one day, insanely incensy the next. And smell divine, anytime.

Naso Bertrand Duchaufour.
Signature è frutta fresca e frutta secca, vegetali verdeggianti e croccanti, come verde è il vetiver che lo compone e fumigazioni di incenso argenteo.
Una sinfonia composta da sfaccettature insolite e ironiche, come ad esempio l'inserimento di Foglie di Pomodoro, rigogliose e ruvide, quel sentore radicato nella memoria di ognuno di noi che riporta alla mente giornate oziose in un orto assolato, dove pomodori succosi rosso lacca si abbracciano voluttuosamente alla pianta che li sostiene.
E le loro foglie, sporche di terra ormai seccata, rendono l'aria satura di aroma agreste.
Ribes rosso acidulo e vellutato, Mela verde fragrante e Caprifoglio con accenti speziati ed effluvi di Bergamotto, serena quanto raffinata rusticita' olfattiva.
Cuore di Rabarbaro a riunire tutte le sfumature delle altre essenze in un trionfo di verde acidulo, fiorito e fruttato.
Una nota che magistralmente racchiude le principali caratteristiche dello start.
Vetiver e Incenso contribuiscono ad esaltare la connotazione vibrante e terrosa di questa Fragranza chypre, sbuffando vapori di sottobosco resi asciutti da un Incenso verde scuro con appeal di resina balsamica e fugacemente citrata.
Signature, seppellito come rizoma nascosto che poi riemerge in uno splendore di fronda d'albero svettante e scossa da vento tiepido.
Stormire leggiadro di vert croustillant, aromatico e sensuale, con un sottono leggero e gourmand grazie al tocco della inattesa Nocciola, calda di tostatura, che a sua volta si tinge di striature verdi e rosse, e con grazia quasi primitiva incede con vanità pavonesca.
Signature possiede un'iridescenza complessa dove Duchaufour ha reso cangiante e trasformista ogni singola nota.
Una firma opulenta con svolazzi barocchi e al contempo decori classici e ampollosi.
Aedes de Venustas è riuscito a fondere con la sua prima iconica Fragranza, la magniloquenza del passato e la modernizzazione dell'Arte Profumiera.

Ralf Schwiegers Hommage an den Tonkin-Moschus ist weich und wildledern, auf subtile Weise wild und sexy und sie vereint die unverkennbare Weihrauchnote von Aedes de Venustas mit dem Mystischen und Animalischen. Um das Rauchige und Fleischliche zusammenzuführen, hat der Parfümeur eine unterstreichende Ambernote hinzugefügt. Muskatellersalbei akzentuiert die Kopfnoten mit aromatischen Spitzen. Die Haut-, Sand- und Treibholzfacetten von Cashmeran lassen das kühle, mineralische Aroma des Weihrauchs mit der animalischen Wärme des Moschus verschmelzen. Ein Hauch von Tonka hüllt die Komposition in mandelmilchige Weichheit … Mit seiner Yin-und-Yang-Balance der Extreme entfaltet Musk Encensé zuweilen einen wilden moschusartigen Akzent, an anderen Tagen wiederum eine verwegene Weihrauchnote. Ein zu jeder Zeit göttlicher Duft.

Ralf Schwieger a travaillé un accord secret de musc et d’ambre gris pour faire revivre la sensualité addictive de ces matières animales.
