‎The Power We Hold: The Power We Hold Podcast S1 Ep09 - Leave It Better NYC - Happy Earth Day 2023! on Apple Podcasts 29/04/2023

In honor of Earth Day last Friday, I delivered two big bags of litter, plastic water, bottles, I collected from the streets of New York, back to the people who profit from Poland Spring, the dominate brand littering our streets. I returned them to One Rock Capital Partners, the $6 billion company that owns Blue Triton, manufacturing Poland Spring, Dear Park and other single-use plastic water bottle brands, with Mitsubishi Corporation. I installed these littered bottles I collected on my walks and bike rides from Sept 2022 to Earth Day in their HQ lobby at 30 Rock Plaza. They didn’t like it, but listen, I don’t like seeing their trash in my streets and knowing they leach microplastics and clog the waterways. I also delivered a 2-page love letter to One Rock Capital Partners calling them in to be the world leader in bottle water that we need to survive ourselves on planet Earth.

This eco-art performance and installation is called Leave It Better NYC.

Please check it out here on my podcast The Power We Hold:

6 rolls of eco-friendly bamboo toilet paper for $12 in Brooklyn, NY | Finds — Nextdoor $12 — 6 rolls of eco-friendly bamboo toilet paper near the Greenpoint (Lorimer-Norman) neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. Find items in Finds on Nextdoor - all listings are local.

Brooklyn friends!

I bought a bulk shipment of Bamboo toilet paper by one of my favorite companies, Lor T**h.

It’s super soft because bamboo fibers just are! It’s also sustainably grown, biodegrades quickly and made by a small black-owned business. All 3 of these factors make it eco-friendly!

6 rolls are $12 and if you’re in Greenpoint/ Williamsburg, DM me for a free delivery. I’ll bike it over, also eco-friendly! 😇 Available today and tomorrow for drop-off.

Also, if you’re interested to green your life, but hesitant because that feels overwhelming or like a lot of research, I’ve got you! I do eco-assessments for households and small businesses to go green the EASY way! Check out the eco-shop at Coral Projects for more information and to book an eco-assessment:

Bamboo toilet paper is one of my favorite and first steps to get you there! It’s slightly more expensive, around a dollar more per roll, but here’s what you get for that dollar:

- supporting eco-economy
- shifting “big toilet paper” via collective buying power towards sustainable practices
- supporting a small, family business
- supporting a black-owned business
- creating a new habit of collective local bulk purchasing to reduce carbon-footprints on the front end and realize the power you already hold to create sea change
- feel goods for taking even just what may seem like a small step to green your life and align harmoniously with life on planet Earth! Feels sooooo good, y’all!

All that for a dollar more?!?! I know, mind-blowing!
