Hi, I'm Emmy - one of the instructors and students at Feelin' Peachy 🍑
I started at the studio in July 2019 whilst I was struggling with post natal depression. I'd always struggled to find any form of exercise I enjoyed or could keep up with. At the time I was having some difficulty with my body - mainly back pains - but had not put together anything else. That being said, I already recognised that the studio was a place where I could move without judgement and where I didn't feel a sense of shame or punishment if I wasn't as strong and fit as others in the room.
During 2020, I contracted Covid and was left with some lasting symptoms including fatigue and breathlessness. I was also suffering more with my periods, general pain and emotions.
It was Peach herself who identified that my symptoms may be connected - prior to that, both medical professionals and people around me convinced me that I was dramatic, lazy, to blame for my pain or all 3. Peach noted my symptoms were similar to hers, and she had been doing a lot of research into endometriosis as part of her own health journey.
It all suddenly started clicking and Peach encouraged me to advocate for myself, even when people continued to disbelieve me. My symptoms kept getting worse and after surgery this year, not only was I diagnosed with endometriosis but the surgeon found the scar tissue had caused a secondary serious issue for my kidneys and bladder which could have been contributing all this time to my pain.
Even now, people struggle to understand I have a disability because it is both invisible and dynamic and, like a lot of people with similar conditions, I have learnt how to both mask and manage my pain.
One place where I feel I can truly be myself is Feelin' Peachy. As a student, if I need to rest or if my body isn't vibing that day, everyone understands and I don't feel judged at all. As an instructor, there is never pressure on me to cover up my symptoms and pain and I'm allowed to make adjustments to my teaching style and plan where needed.
I think if I had never gone to the studio, I would still be struggling with all my symptoms and I wouldn't have had the support system around me to recognise that I really did have a medical condition out of my control that was affecting my health. I'm so grateful to Peach for helping me personally and for creating a space where we are able to talk about our disabilities and support one another.

There are so many options - whether you want to do it for fitness or creativity, we have a class to suit you 🥰
Hi I’m Charlotte 💖
I’ve always said I’m “double jointed” and enjoyed shocking people with the tricks I could do. Then it started to hurt so 5 years ago I went through the Beighton scoring system and I got diagnosed with Hypermobility. The doctor was very negative, he said there was no fixing it and that I already have osteoarthritis so it would just get worse as I got older.
I tried all forms of exercise but couldn’t seem to stick to it, which is when I started searching for pole dancing and found Feelin’ Peachy! It has been my safe place since the beginning, Pole allows me to stretch and strengthen my joints so my body can reach its full potential! I am so grateful to have made such good friends supporting me mentally and physically 🩷
My body (mostly my wrists and ankles) feels stiff and hurts most days and sometimes my mind goes to dark places thinking how long will I have left before things get so sore I can't do basic things like cutting veg! I know it’s silly but sometimes it is a challenge and I have to ask for help 🙈
But I like to flip those negatives with positives, it actually gives me motivation to keep going to pole dancing and enjoying every minute! I’m so happy I found Feelin’ Peachy! It is one of the biggest highlights of my week, thank you to all the instructors 💖
Stunning shots from this week ✨️
I'm Phantom!
I've been doing pole for about a year and a half and I have ADHD and Endometriosis.
During my adult life I've always found it incredibly difficult to pick up, and stick with, a new hobby/passion. Either through my attention span not being engaged long enough, or because of pain getting in the way!
Pole, however, was different. I started with Feelin' Peachy in December 2022 and something just clicked! I'd always loved dance but never felt super comfortable saying I was a 'dancer', pole and the studio has changed that for me. And if you'd have told me I'd be competing in competitions now I would look a lot like this > 😧
There are weeks when my body simply cannot do the things it was capable of the week before, and it can be INCREDIBLY frustrating, especially as my brain loves to cling to negativity. There's also some weeks that I go into class expecting to not be as strong as before and completely prove myself wrong!
Its a roller coaster of emotions being part of a community where a lot of people are very able bodied and you can easily get in your head wondering 'why can't my body just be okay like theirs', but having a great group of people around me in class, instructors and students alike, makes the WORLD of difference and I'm so happy I'm part of a community that understands me so well!

I'm Keira 👋
I have Borderline Personality Disorder, a diagnosis that is highly stigmatised and I was once very ashamed of. Having a trauma history caused me to have difficulty regulating my emotions, self confidence and image issues, difficulty managing relationships with others and lots of self neglect. Taking care of myself was something I always found difficult and any attempts to exercise, especially in any kind of group or class, made me feel incredibly self conscious, out of place and vulnerable.
I joined Feelin' Peachy in January after probably years of wanting to try pole and months of stalking the studio (on social media, not in person 😅) and within minutes of stepping in I felt at ease. The ethos of the studio and knowing I had like-minded people around me, made me feel safe. By the end of the first class I knew I was hooked. The support was like nothing I had known before, to be cheered on by the whole room for the slightest achievement was so encouraging and I knew I had finally found somewhere I could feel vulnerable, yet supported.
During my beginners class I took ill and was diagnosed with a condition called Graves disease - an autoimmune condition that attacks my thyroid. This is a result of stress and will be a life long condition. I had weeks where I couldn't participate, but the group was happy for me to come and watch so I wasn't missing out and checked in that I was ok.
My main goals for joining were to build strength and endurance (I was feeling out of breath just walking up the stairs at home), to face some of my fears of being in groups with others and managing intrusive thoughts that everybody hates me, to build confidence, to get a hobby that I enjoy and to feel a sense of pride in something - I feel like I am smashing all of them.
As someone who has spent the majority of my life feeling like an outsider and like I don't fit it anywhere, it has been a true blessing to find Feelin' Peachy, I go to the classes just as much for the community they have built, as I do for my love of pole, and I'm very grateful for that.
I'm Peach! ✨️
I own and run Feelin' Peachy, and I also have a variable and invisible disability. During my time running the studio, I have dealt with chronic fatigue and chronic pain caused by endometriosis and also have chronic back pain.
At times, my symptoms have been so severe that I have struggled to walk upstairs and have not been able to teach the way I prefer. My personal pole training went on the back burner for several years as I only had the energy to teach my classes and not do any more. I've always prioritised teaching as I love supporting my students and seeing them thrive.
Now, I've had surgery for chronic appendicitis and endometriosis, and I am much better. Despite my chronic pain, I am able to train for pole competition, teach a full class schedule, and coach students for their own performances and showcases.
Having a disability does impact my relationship with pole and has taught me so much about running an inclusive studio. I personally ensure the quality of all my instructors and, as a Virgo, my keen eye for detail and desire to offer an excellent experience for my students feeds both into my own teaching and how I train up my instructors.
Dealing with a debilitating health condition was very rough, and at times, I felt like quitting pole completely because I was so ill. However, I am really glad I didn't, and I feel that continuing pole through my illness improved my mobility, maintained my strength, and stopped me from becoming more disabled.
If you're thinking of starting pole but are nervous, I have ensured that every team member is mindful and passionate about ensuring that all students feel welcomed and included. My mission has been to create a space where all types of bodies can move, dance, and find joy. I hope you can join us soon to discover it for yourself ❤️✨️
What a Peach - Find your PLACE at Feelin’ Peachy
Feelin’ Peachy was born out of a desire to offer the Wirral a pole dance, dance and well-being hub for women and people of all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, fitness levels and confidence. A beautiful studio space, with professional and safety conscious instructors, that provides not just for your dance needs, but offers a space for personal growth and development too.
She wanted to create a space that would enable women to explore all facets of themselves; peaceful, strong, sexy, feminine, sassy, brave. Whether that was through calming ‘Serenity Sessions’, during a sensual movement practice in heels based choreography or chair dance, or the strength and fitness goals met in a challenging pole tricks class.
The key tenants on which the studio is built, and around which all of the classes, studio community / culture, and events are based, is the ‘Find your PLACE’ philosophy.
This stands for:
