JOIN IN & LET'S SUPPORT OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED"Feeding Carroll Together," is a county-wide food drive that unites the food pantries of Carroll County in the fight against hunger. This collaborative effort aims to alleviate food insecurity and provide support to those in need throughout the summer months.

Summer is a challenging time for many families in our county--food insecurity is particularly prevalent, as families face increased financial strain without the support of school meal programs. The "Feeding Carroll Together" food drive aims to bridge this gap by encouraging residents to donate food items to their neighborhood food pantries throughout the months of July and August.

By considering a food drive you are joining these combined efforts of along with other community partners who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need. We encourage donations of non-perishable food items to your local food pantry. Canned vegetables, fruits, protein-rich items, and other nutritious staples are especially valuable. To locate your closest food pantry, we invite the public to visit, http://bit.ly/ccfreefood

The food you collect does more than provide a meal for a child, senior, or family, it gives hope!

Latest, Greatest GFWC National Day of Service (NDS) Club Idea

The inaugural GFWC NDS on September 30 continues to gain traction. This week's NDS club idea comes from GFWC Las Noches Woman's Club in Arizona. These ladies are giving back to the airmen who selflessly defend our country every day by supplying the Airman's Pantry at Luke AFB with food supplies and diapers.

Thank you, ladies, for stepping up to help our military heroes!

The GFWC Executive Committee is proud of all the clubwomen who have pledged their time to volunteer for those in need, as well as help grow membership!

To register for the inaugural GFWC National Day of Service, please email Melanie Gisler, Director of Membership Services, at [email protected] and copy Deb Strahanoski, International President, at [email protected].

GFWC Woman’s Club of Westminster

📷The Westminster club first met in 1911 as a literary club, and is now a member of the international GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs). While following the procedural constructs adopted by the GFWC Board, local clubs are encouraged to identify the challenges and needs within their own communities and to actively participate in effecting improvement and change. Additionally, we offer opportunities for members to enrich and broaden their own lives by participating in various projects, taking on leadership roles, and enjoying the fellowship that naturally comes from people being united in purpose.

Members initiate these projects in the areas of public affairs, home life, fine arts, education, conservation and international outreach. Among other non-profit organizations who have received contributions from our club are Shepherd’s Staff, Family and Children’s Services, Carroll County Arts Council, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, New Life for Girls and Change, Inc.

Our Club also partners with Carroll County Public Schools with a Children In Transition Project to help homeless students by supplying clothing, money for housing, bedding, prom tickets, drivers’ education or other needs.
