I’m feeling so much better and ready for my last NY shows of the summer!

It’s with a heavy heart (and thick vocal cords) that I have to announce that tonight and tomorrow’s performances have been canceled. I tested positive for COVID this morning, which unfortunately means I’m down for the count for a bit.

A little update to the summer calendar. I've added a show on July 13 at Bitters and Bones in Saranac Lake with my acoustic trio featuring me, Will Dobson on guitars and bass, and Aden Brooks on trombone!

Conexiones Divididas (2023)

I didn’t realize it at the start, but I had a great deal of responsibility in this collaboration. Ilse trusted me with the stories of her family in Mexico, particularly her deceased grandparents, one of whom recently passed. The voices of Ilse’s family and friends are the focal point of the music, and I felt a duty to honor not only their experiences, but also their lives, all of which they were so willing to share with me. I hope that comes through in the piece. I’m very proud of it.
