Greetings!
The OBDBI is pleased to announce the release of our cd, "Likambo Te" on February 2. It is a "bandcamp friday," which means that the site will be waiving all fees and 100% of your purchases go straight to the artists. We hope you'll check out "Likambo Te", on offer as a digital download and on compact disk.

These previously unreleased tracks feature the band’s golden line-up of Nathaniel Braddock and Antonio Carella on guitars, Greg Ward II on saxophone, Joshua Ramos on bass, Makaya McCraven on drumset, and Asamoah Rambo on percussion. The recording showcases our collaborations with two stellar vocalists:Congolese legend Samba Mapangala and Zambian roots artist Mathew Tembo.
The title is Lingala for “no problem,” and the mix of original repertoire in Swahili, Lingala, and French will be familiar to fans who saw our performances during the 2010s: a mix of African Jazz, classic Congolese rumba, highlife, and our own unique take on this music’s possibilities.
You can join us for an online listening party on Monday February 5 at 8:30p EST. Follow us on BandCamp for details.
We want to thank our friend George Liebert for contributing his painting to be our cover art.
Please join us for Upcoming Gigs this April in Madison, WI, and at the Hungry Brain in Chicago.
