Curling Canada announce that there will be a new playdown, as Mixed Doubles Curling joins the Winter University Games programme. The new FISU World Mixed Doubles Qualifier will be on 18-21 October at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.
The event is set to be a twenty-team Round-Robin and Play-Off format, with the winner representing Canada at the 2025 FISU World University Games in Torino, Italy, set to take place on 13-23 January.
USA Curling announce that the 2025 College National Championship will be at the Midland Curling Club in Midland, Michigan on 7-9 March. The 2026 host was also announced, as the Schenectady Curling Club in Schenectady, New York will host 13-15 March of that year.

Curling Canada announced on Thursday a couple of new event host sites.
With the new World Junior Mixed Doubles Curling Championship on the calendar this season, there will be a Canadian playdown in March, as previously posted on this page.
The hosts of the regional qualifiers have now been released, as the East Qualifier will be at Curl Moncton in Moncton, New Brunswick and the Brandon Curling Club in Brandon, Manitoba have been named.
The East Qualifier in Moncton will be on 25-30 November, with the West Qualifier in Brandon on 26 November-1 December.
The top four finishers in both qualifiers will play in the national playdown. The Worlds will be in Edmonton, Alberta in May.
