Unique Jewelry and Regalia
Jeweler's hand-made bespoke regalia for knightly orders. Period Jewelry and modern jewelry. I don't make molds of period pieces or of the work of others.
All of the items shown in the photos on this page are my original work. Everything starts from a photo of a period piece or a design drawing.
Breast star designed and made for a private family Order. Gilt and enameled bronze. The star measures approximately 87mm.
Order of the Rose Star with crown. We also have the very nice correct moire ribbon for the Order now. Also shown are the sash with badge, Dame badge mounted on a bow and the neck badge on the neck ribbon.
Breast star for the Brazilian Imperial Family Order of the Rose. Gilt and enameled bronze.
A St. Cuthbert cross mounted on a star. Made at the request of a patron. Set with Garnet cabochons and a synthetic Ruby cabochon. Actually makes a very attractive breast star.
New work. An Order of the Rose Collar awarded by the Brazilian Royal Family. Photos of the obverse and reverse of the Badge and a photo of the miniature medal.
Three breast stars made from designs furnished by the patron. Gilt and enameled bronze.
A pendant and chain designed to display three award medallions, given by entities within the Society for Creative Anachronism. The awards are the Order of the Flos Australis and the Order of the Astrum Australis, awarded by the Barony of the Citadel of the Southern Pass in the Kingdom of the Outlands. The Order of the Leaping Stag, presented by the Principality of the Outlands when the Outlands was a Principality of the Kingdom of Atenveldt.
We make a little bit of almost everything. This is a set of buttons I made for myself to use on a costume. They show my shield and measure approximately 3/4 inch/19mm in diameter. That's also a nice size for a pair of cufflinks. Not the best photo. Taken with my phone.
New insignia for the Order of the Kwakyen Ababio from the The Kingdom of Abura Papagya in Ghana. I like the parrot links. The Parrot is the African Grey Parrot that is indigenous to Ghana.
A large, sterling silver, Medusa medallion made by my son Joseph for a friend. The medallion measures 3"/75mm in diameter.
Here is an unusual replica I made around thirty years ago. The breast star for the Napoleonic Order of the Three Golden Fleeces (Ordre Imperial des Trois Toisons d'Or ). The Order was created by Napoleon in 1809 but never instituted. This star is based on one of the period designs for the Order.
This is an interesting filigree necklace in sterling silver set with various gemstones. The elderly lady, for whom we designed and made this piece, had collected the gemstones in her travels around the world.
This is a set of early Renaissance style eating utensils we made aa a
gift for a friend.
We made a crucifix to go with the renaissance collar I posted photos of earlier. The cross is set with rose cut Garnets. This is a piece I made for myself. I have belonged to an organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism for over forty years. We dress in pre-eighteenth century costume and fight in armor. It's nice to get away from the 21st century from time to time. The last is a photo of me in costume wearing the collar. I am in a Tudor era costume. If you are interested in the history of the SCA go to YouTube and search for Pennsic War. Watch the video named 10,000 soldier war.
New collar for the Order of the Golden Leopard. Parcel gilt and enameled bronze.
Medal, gilt and enameled bronze. The very nice design was furnished by the customer.
Around forty years ago I made the desk seal, with the Malachite handle, for the Society for Creative Anachronism Kingdom of the Outlands. That seal was lost in a burglary recently. My son Joseph made the replacement seal with the Sodalite Handle. The leaping stags are from the mold I made forty years ago. Everything else is new. I like to use elements from the coat of arms in the design of the desk seal. The Outlands shield had a stag leaping through a Laurel wreath within an embattled bordure.
Ceremonial Rod made for the Cambridge University Heraldry and Genealogy Society. The shield on top bears the arms of the University on one side and the arms of the Society on the reverse. Gilt bronze with a solid polished aluminium shaft. The rod measures approximately 31 miches/79cm in length.
New collar made for Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. Gilt and enameled bronze.
A badge made for the Fellowship of the White Shield, a Society for heraldic artists. I took an extreme closeup of the Our Lady and Child to show the kind of detail we can achieve. The Madonna's face is only 3 mm tall. The beautiful design is by the very talented heraldic artist Andy Jamieson.
A jeweled Renaissance style collar. Note, this is not an Order collar. It is an item of jewelry worn by both men and women in the middle ages and Renaissance. Gilt bronze. We cut the green and red high dome cabochons from glass.
A jeweled Order of the Laurel pendant awarded by the Society for Creative Anachronism for achievement in the Arts and Sciences. The SCA is an organization that studies and recreates pre-17th century culture. There are 30,000 members in 20 Kingdoms around the world. In addition, many members of the SCA build and fight with sword and shield in period armor. I've been a member, on and off, for forty years. It's nice to get away from the 21st century from time to time.
A new collar designed and fabricated for Sul Ross Capital, Inc. A charitable organization that develops young leaders and raises money for scholarships at Texas A&M University. Gilt and Enameled Bronze.
New Commemorative medal on a ribbon drape (chest medal) of the "Hundred Thousand Sons of Saint Louis".

Last one today. This is the Badge for the Ethiopian Order of the Queen of Sheba. We also have the miniature finished for this and will be making the collar for the Order in the near future. I don't have the ribbon for this Order yet but hope to place an order for that in the future.
Breast star and miniature medal for the Order of the City of Baltimore. This was an unusual and very attractive design furnished by the patron. We are also working on a collar for this Order.
