Cardiff Rugby can confirm Theo Cabango underwent shoulder surgery at the end of last week.

The in-form wing suffered the shoulder injury in the process of scoring against the Scarlets on November 4.

Following specialist consultation, it was agreed that surgery was required and Cabango will begin a period of rehabilitation in due course.

Meanwhile Josh Turnbull has returned to full training and Owen Lane is edging closer to a return to action following a rib injury.

Josh Adams (shoulder) and Keiron Assiratti (ankle) are both expected back within the next month, while James Botham and Aled Summerhill (both hamstring) are targeting the Christmas derbies.
