Team Nitro

Team Nitro got a boost with the surprise return of captain Andrew Schenker, but couldn't overcome a solid effort by a strong Scout team. Coach Randy and I thoroughly enjoyed working with this team and seeing their development over the course of the season. Nitro overcame a lot of adversity, yet never let that affect the positive attitude exhibited by each and every player. It was a very rewarding experience, especially to see how the team bonded and always supported each other. Thanks for allowing us to be part of it. Best of luck going forward and we hope to see you at the rink!

In the regular season finale, Blake Michelle steps up his game to earn the Golden Hat as Player of the Game for Team Nitro. Solid D, poke checking, rushing the puck and even winning face offs, this guy does it all! Way to go Blake!

In his first game as defenseman, Jon Lucero puts together an impressive performance. It's a tough position to learn especially "on the job", but Jon stepped up and earned first Player of the Game honors. Well done!

Goalie Adam Guzman kept Team Nitro in the game to the very end, earning second Player of the Game honors. Great work today Adam!

Andrew Schenker, get well soon! We will miss you and try to hold down the fort while you recover from your broken clavicle.
