I think fundamentally, change - whether it be change of circumstances, change of heart, change of beliefs, values, ideologies , change of personal ‘stuff’ aka relationship status, career change, location change etc etc, all can be exciting yet incredibly daunting.
I was wondering this Morning whilst on my run why it is that I am slightly fearful of letting some stuff go. Is it because I’d have to reconsider my identity, my values, my core beliefs and rebuild them all?
Yup.
It is.
It’s fear of the unknown.
Fear of failure.
Fear of missing out.
Basically just fear being a di****ad.
Personally, I’m only just starting to scratch the surface when it comes to truly looking at yourself, your beliefs, values, basically EVERYTHING from a holistic perspective and ideally, without any judgement towards thy self.
It’s an epic roller coaster when you have to really get real with yourself and ask yourself what YOU want from this life moving forward. Right now, like NOW!
Not interested in playing small.
Not here to live a status quo life.
Not here to conform.
Not
Bloody
Interested.....
What I am here for is to grow.
To change, constantly.
To evolve.
And to be ok with the fact that change can be hard but what’s harder is staying in the same lane.

Over the years I have gone ‘on and off’ meat; albeit I don’t eat red meat and haven’t done so for a good year or so now. Chicken and fish seems to be my go to if I really feel like ‘animal protein’ but that desire keeps fading away as my body, mind and spirit changes.

Everyone has different values, beliefs and opinions, so what works for me, won’t necessarily work for you. Your body will let you know what it needs, you just have to learn to listen. ❤️

Your body, mind and spirit all possess the innate ability to heal itself. Our bodies are amazing at recovering, literally renewing itself via our cell rejuvenation without us even to having to think about it. Our body resets itself, heals wounds and trauma naturally when given the right environment to flourish.

When you are craving something, that’s your body giving you subtle hints as to what it needs. Knowing the difference between craving chocolate, wine, fatty foods etc and craving wholesome foods is key. If you crave the ‘bad stuff’ something isn’t aligned within. Sugar cravings are signs of a toxic body and perhaps a mineral deficiency such as magnesium. What is your body trying to tell you? What does it need in order to flourish, to heal, to rejuvenate so you and your mind, body and spirit can come back into vibrational alignment?

Everyone’s needs and answers will be different, so it’s a matter of understanding/being aware of your vessels needs and being able to listen before it starts to scream.

This Morning by body was singing out for movement, sunshine and eating the colours of the rainbow, so that’s exactly what I did.

On the plate is scrambled eggs with turmeric, cumin seeds, spring onion cooked in ghee, with grated beetroot and carrot & lettuce - sprinkled with fresh lemon. Simple but yummo. 👌🏻

Super feels going on atm about moving forward, focusing on your goals, striving towards them and letting go of all the necessary s**t in order to do all of the above. This energy that is circulating atm is amazing. Harness it, sit with it, write down all that which you desire to manifest and watch it come alive as you start to align yourself with your higher vibrational being.

Your clarity has been long awaited, coming out from the fog that was 2018, you are now set to bloom. Use this shift of energy wisely, spend quality time doing the things you love, or that bring you joy. Automatically you will find yourself instantly rejecting things that don’t make you feel good, even if these ‘things’ once brought you happiness, they now no longer are in alignment with your growth & expansion & thus your mind, body & soul rejects them without your consciousness playing part until after the fact..

We as a collective are experiencing a major shift when it comes to our mindless consumption of our food..
More and more people globally are moving away from eating animal meat daily & introducing more plants into their diet. We’re starting to see a global awakening as to the unsustainable methods of animal farming & consumption. Our most popular chefs are even starting to bring out vegan & vegetarian cook books, just look at paving the way to further educate their market & us as individuals that you don’t need to eat meat 3 times a day! .
Mindfulness starts with awareness. What is on your plate? Where did your food come from? What has had to suffer for your enjoyment? If you enjoy meat, I’m not saying you have to cut it out entirely if you enjoy eating it, I’m saying consider cutting back, not only for your own health but most importantly for the billions of animals sakes & our environment..
I haven’t been eating meat for about a month now, following mainly a pescatarian diet. I don’t miss it, nor do I want it. Your body knows best, so make sure you listen to what it’s trying to tell you. 💫.
On today’s plate for lunch is our ‘falafel & broad bean salad’. Simple, quick & yummy!

is about make gradual changes in one year, so that are able to let go of the ‘things’ that don’t make you feel good. It doesn’t mean you have to let go all at once, as that’s probably unrealistic for most (including me) & it certainly doesn’t mean that you have ‘failed’ if you have whatever it was that you are building a new relationship with in your journey. What matters most is that you apply a realistic, shall we say ‘letting go pyramid’ to help you keep accountable & on track. Perhaps start with the 70/30 rule, then the 80/20, then 90/10 - so you gradually phase the things out in your life that aren’t in alignment with you anymore. Eventually, you’ll stick to the 90/10 approach as not only will you feel better but your entire mindset & behavioural patters would have shifted & thus, you no longer crave/desire/want/need the certain things you used to. Every day is a chance to start a new! 👊🏻

“The essence of healing is to take your power back.”.
The word ‘healing’ can make your mind think of, what some may call, ‘esoteric fluff’. Perhaps your tired of hearing or seeing quotes such as “those who look outside dream, those who look within awaken”, etc etc. By default, the term ‘healing’ makes most people roll their eyes & think to themselves ‘great, another hippie crack pot banging on about some s**t I don’t understand or care to!’.
So, with that being said, let me break this down for you;
to heal simply means to say no to things that hurt you, whether it be people, food, drugs, alcohol, s*x, jobs, relationships, WHATEVER it may be. To heal whatever hurt you, means to abstain from it/to walk away from it/to NOT give yourself PERMISSION to partake in ‘whatever’ doesn’t make YOU FEEL good. And by doing that, we TAKE OUR POWER BACK; we are in control, happily sitting in the drivers seat & being able to obtain a crystal clear idea & vision as to where you are heading. No blurry lines, crystal clear farking focus. 👊🏻.
To heal yourself, your relationships, your addictions, your self sabotaging, your ‘wounds’ per-say, you have to REMOVE yourself from all that makes you feel s**thouse based upon the actions that YOU took that has lead you there in the first place. And by doing so, guess what? You’re taking YOUR POWER BACK & consequently the HEALING begins. ✨
Today is day 8 of my project & you know what, it feels bloody good to have taken MY POWER back. 💃

Tim made the decision on NYE to join our project. 🙌🏻 As it’s entirely up to you as to how long you choose to embark upon the challenge & what YOU choose let go, it’s 100% personal choice as a ‘one size fits all approach’ won’t exactly motivate you to let go of the things that no longer make YOU FEEL good!
Tim is letting go of ALCOHOL, COFFEE & SUGAR for one month as of the 1st of Jan 2019. A courageous fighter who speaks his truth when it comes to his battle with his anxiety & depression, Tim intuitively knows what isn’t good for not only his body, but importantly, his mental health. There are a myriad of studies that are coming out now that demonstrate the innate connection between the ‘mind & gut’, so it could be said that there’s a link between an ‘unhealthy gut & an ‘unhealthy’ mind. Tim faces his battle everyday, like millions of others in the World, he does the best he can to overcome his dark days, alas, he knows he is capable of FEELING better & he similarly, he knows what the triggers are for him to make him FEEL like s**t!
So, hats off to you Tim! Welcome to the change. You won’t look back once you start to feel yourself again. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Plant Based Pasta. 👈🏻.
I haven’t been ‘feeling’ meat of late, in fact, I’m completely turned off by it. Protein consumption for me personally comes & goes when my body feels like it - I’ll buy some meat from our local organic butcher from time to time & other times I can stand the thought of eating it. I do find this ‘Eb & flow’ is in line with my consciousness & overall body/mind/soul alignment. When I’m living my highest values & truth, my body rejects the thought of consuming meat; and to the contrast, when I sway away from my internal compass, I eat without truly ‘tuning in’ to not only what my body needs but what is best for the planet/environment/our beautiful animals that we should technically live in harmony with. I see two sides of the coin here: 1) agreeing that the millions & millions of animals slaughtered each year for our consumption is utterly horrifying, unsustainable & unethical & 2) I also can understand our innate desire to consume meat given our primal nature. Alas, what was then, certainly is not now & therefore we need to adjust our lifestyles accordingly.
The first step is being AWARE of what’s on your plate. Where did your food come from? How was it grown/produced/mass produced? Is it GMO? How much ‘s**t’ does the ‘food’ contain stacked in the many isles of the supermarket? Is it fresh? Organic where possible? How many animals had to suffer as a result? Just start by ASKING these questions & if you don’t like the answer, simply CHANGE what you are eating. 👊🏻
My plant based pasta was inspired by .mama & contains organic wholemeal pasta, olive oil, salt, pepper, chilli flakes, nutritional yeast, cucumber & some Parmesan (cheese is obviously an animal based, alas we use it sparingly).
If you want to feel ‘lighter & brighter’, start by looking at what’s on your plate. 🙌🏻

It’s amazing how fast things can turn around when you wholeheartedly COMMIT to your vision, whatever that may be for you. ✨.
Once you decide what you want & are done with doubting your ability, the amount of support you will have from everyone around you, including the vastness that is the universe, it really is incredible to sit back as the observer & watch things change. YOU change. Your mindset is stronger, intuition is on point, your energy is a force to be reckoned with, your vibes are high & you feel the most aligned in years. All because you made a decision to love, trust & back yourself more than you did yesterday.
It’s only day 6 of my & I already FEEL like a new version of me is about to bloom. 🦋
If you are scared about making a change, no matter how big or small, you have to ask yourself what’s scarier; ‘staying in the same position as to where you are now, repeating the same behavioural patters etc or leaning into the fear, trusting yourself & your ability to overcome & as a result, GROWTH.
You can’t expect change when you are resisting to let go of all the things that are holding you back. 👊🏻

People have asked me ‘what has spurred you on to commit to my - to me, it’s simple. 👇🏻.
• to improve my overall health
• to feel vital, energised & to radiate energy from the inside out
• to think clearer/be more connected to self/higher self
• to show up everyday as the best version of me; life is too short to be or to feel mediocre
• to change my thought patterns, behaviours & mindset around drinking alcohol, coffee & sugar. All 3 substances which only make me feel like s**t, so I questioned why I was ignoring my intuition & signs my body was trying to show me
• addiction runs in my family; I wanted to cut the chord on a substance aka alcohol that has lead to the deaths of two of my grandparents (they died before my time). I feel that it’s in my DNA & I have certainly demonstrated addictive tenancies throughout my 20’s - early 30’s. The change has to start somewhere, so it might as well be with me. 👊🏻
• and lastly, I want to be a Mum in the near future, so I’m treating my body now as if I were pregnant. There’s no ‘good’ time to embark upon something that challenges you, scares you or makes you doubt your ability. You have to take a leap of faith, a s**tload of self love, quadruple amount of self belief and just go for it. 🙌🏻
I can safely say that doing so, feels fu***ng amazing. ✨
I know 2018 was a hard year for many, so may we all raise a glass (I’ll raise my glass of kombucha!) to all the challenges presented to us this year, so we may take on 2019 with more strength, hope & determination & love to make it your bloody best yet. 💃❤️

Personally, this is day 4 of no alcohol, day 2 of no coffee & day 4 of no processed sugar. From tomorrow, I embark upon the challenge where I am focused on letting ALL the s**t go. 🙌🏻🙋♀️💃

Our delicious ‘Veggie Pesto Pasta’ - simplistic, quick to make & a whole lot of veggie goodness! 🍆🥦🥬
•
Ingredients 👇🏻
• half a zucchini
• 3 medium sized mushrooms
• half a capsicum
• handful of kale
• one small onion
• 3 cloves of garlic
• olive oil
• chilli flakes, S&P
• parmesan cheese
• gluten free pasta
• pre made pesto

Method:
Chop onion & garlic, heat in pan until it browns, add chopped veggies, add splash of olive oil, salt & pepper & a sprinkle of chilli, stir & cook veggies until they start to soften. Add a teaspoon of pesto. Stir. Add more pesto if you need more flavour. Serve with Parmesan & fresh basil.
A wholesome meal in under 20 minutes. 👊🏻

This really resonated with me this Morning, as I sit sipping on my chai (day 1 without coffee and day 3 without alcohol) I realise that everything we experience in our reality can either make us grow or shrivel back to our comfort zone.
What’s amusing to me is that people have asked me ‘why the f**k are you doing this ’ & the simple answer is WHY THE F**K NOT?!
To improve your health, to challenge yourself, to set a goal for yourself SO big that it scares you, THIS is what makes me move forward with determination & purpose. The resistance or doubt in my ability to see this through, has given me that extra kick of ‘f**k you & your opinions’ - the kind of motivation that spurs you on. 👊🏻 (hello anger coming to the surface!)
When you think about it, what I’m doing really isn’t a big deal. I’m simply cutting things out of my life that don’t make ME feel good. So really, I have come to realise that some people in my inner & outer circles or even perhaps people who are looking in from afar, are going to be triggered by what I have set before me. Hence, there’s no doubt I will find out very quickly & effortlessly who truly is willing to LET go of the labels they have branded me with, expectations they have placed upon me to ‘f**k up’ & those that are kind of laughing this off thinking ‘she’s not going to stick with this!’
I truly don’t blame them for thinking that. And most importantly, I truly do not mind as the only person that needs to have my back on this, is ME.
