Kiran Bapna was one of the kindest Googlers you could meet. We worked together on a Corporate Social Responsibility project (Google Reach organized by Samantha Rose Hennessey) that brought me to India 🇮🇳 during my time at Google. I just saw her in March during an event hosted by Shailesh Lakhani and Anshu Surana at Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India) to support Googlers who were impacted by the layoffs. She re-arranged her schedule to come out to support her former colleagues that were impacted.

If you’re in Bangalore or would like to join online, her prayer meet is on Monday June 26 at 3-5pm. She was unfortunately swept into the Tirthan River.

Thank you Matthew Roberts for joining the Xoogler.co community to chat about launching DAOs! Matthew is a Startup Partner at Stripe and has experience launching an investment club DAO in Europe. Xooglers from NY, SF, London, Milan, Berlin, and Tel Aviv joined to learn from Matthew’s experiences!

· Establish what you want out of the DAO: DAOs serve as platforms with functions such as pooling capital, managing assets, and creating social settings. These functions require different governance and regulations when setting up the DAO.
· Assess how the DAO engages as an entity. How will the DAO engage with external companies, individuals, and assets? How will the DAO engage with internal members, community, and governance?
· Develop a DAO stack: DAOs require an array of platforms for functions such as wallet connection, security and governance, and social platforms. It is becoming common in DAOs to use Discord to avoid gas fees and engage users with voting, updates, and discussions.
· DAOs are quickly evolving so keep a look out for how they can add value to your community!
