Listen to more music and soak in more time with my boy and accept that this train is outside of my circle of control!!

My goodness, getting back into a routine is tough! Especially when your parents are in town 🤣
But in all honesty, I’m feeling SO incredibly grateful!! I’m right where I need to be and am doing it with a full heart ❤️ I just might be a little sleepy 😴

Damn. What a great year! 2023 was a year full of GROWTH and ALIGNMENT.
I saw everyone New Year’s posts and thought that I could never go back through and pick photos and make reels to recap my year. But out of curiosity I started scrolling back through… 10 pictures doesn’t do a year justice but I REALLY enjoyed looking back through my pictures over the past year. I’m feeling very proud, happy, and motivated after looking back over the past year.
I encourage you to scroll back through your past year and celebrate yourself! Regardless of your feelings toward this past year, you’re here. You made it. There was good. Everyday it was sprinkled in, even if just for a brief moment it was there and you most likely captured some of it.

We make it a lot more complicated then it has to be to move our bodies consistently. We don’t need a gym membership or Lululemon leggings. We don’t need fancy headphones or new shoes. We’ve just got to do it.

My husband and I turned the “office” in our house to a workout room some years back. It helps us to have a workout space (but it’s totally not required). Since having two kids, we’ve considered turning it into a play room but have both decided that this space is too crucial to our consistency with workouts. Recently, we decided (for safety reasons) that we’d allow the gymnastics mat and ‘nugget’ cushions to reside in our workout room.
We’ve now had a very awesome fort🏰 in here for 3 days which has been a tremendous babysitter! So now my workout just happens alongside the manor of the prince and princess in the house. 🤷🏼‍♀️
It doesn’t have to be complicated. Move your body.

I’ve had this tunic for YEARS but haven’t ever thought that I could “pull it off.”
F that. That thought doesn’t serve me and I’m no longer co-signing that belief! For my school spirit week it was Christmas socks day. The best way to show them off was over my metallic leggings and then of course if i’m gonna wear leggings to school I’m going to wear a tunic.

💡what a great way to challenge myself! Wear the tunic that I “can’t pull off.”

On my podcast I’ve talked about ways to challenge yourself bc I was training for a half marathon or was doing 75 hard (for the month of August). But it doesn’t have to even be that big! You can challenge yourself by wearing different clothes, trying a bolder eye shadow, doing the thing you “can’t do” or “can’t pull off.”

So I did it. I wore the leggings with the tunic with confidence and my mindset grew from it!💪🏼

Such a proud momma moment today.🤗🤩

MacGyver got home from school today and told me he got his second leadership referral (it’s a good thing even tho it’s called a referral) because there was a kid at lunch sitting by himself and MacGyver asked the aid if he could go sit with him so he wasn’t lonely. 🥹❤️

I’m raising a kind human! And to me, that’s more important than getting straight A’s or anything else! Don’t let people feel left out, always be kind! ❤️❤️

(Although Bry and I try really hard at this parenting thing, we can’t really take credit for this because this kid just came out with a kind heart and is just so considerate of others… but he is ours!)

So this is us getting him some chocolate ice cream to celebrate!

She might ask me if my back hurts 🤣🤪 BUT she also knows how to put on walkin’ shoes, “go for a run”, and use workout equipment 🙃

Those little eyes are watching you more than you realize! They pick up on your language and how you talk about yourself and others. They notice your habits and what you’re doing. They pay attention whether we think they do or not.

What are they seeing?

Remember, you have the power to change whenever you want. You can make the decision to change your habits, mindset and language starting right now!
If you won’t do it for yourself, I know you’ll do it for those little eyes watching you… Because when you pour into yourself you show up as a better version of yourself for them too! And let’s be real, we’re always wanting the best for our littles!❤️

“August HARD” is over!
Down 6lbs and 9 inches!
FEELING good! Super proud of all I accomplished this month not just physically but mentally too. 🙌🏼
I had people ask if I’d be doing this again and if they could do it with me… let’s do it!!!!🤩

Starting Sept 11th I’m running a challenge group, similar to the challenge I just finished. I’ll be hosting an in-person meet up 9/7 (you can join virtually too) with all the info you need to prepare.

Only 9 spots left!

Only a few months left in 2023…I can’t think of a better way to end the year than focusing on yourself and your health!

On this week’s podcast episode we discuss being kind to ourselves!

Letting our negative self-talk go on does not serve us so we've got to stop it and redirect it immediately!

Every day is different. Every season is different. We've got to give ourselves grace. We've got to celebrate the little wins and continue to show up!

It’s ok to want to be better at something or want to reach for a better version of yourself. It’s ok to freaking struggle every step of the way. But it’s NOT ok to treat ourselves poorly. We aren’t going to shame/guilt ourselves toward a goal. Negative self- talk doesn’t help us make progress. None of that BS serves us! You are enough, as you are. Right now. Even if you aren’t there yet, haven’t done the thing or achieved the goal. You’re still enough, right now. Love yourself, where you are, cause that’s the way you can make consistent progress toward where you wanna go! Through love, courage, and being proud of your damn self- celebrating every step of the way! Not through the other BS and negative way we tend to treat ourselves. We are in control so let’s choose thoughts and self-talk that serves us!

Make the choice right now to be kind… to yourself!

Like says “love yourself, and life becomes a party!”

Things are shifting. I’m making changes and am feeling so excited about the direction I’m going!🤩

It won’t be pretty. It’ll be bumpy and challenging but I’m trusting the process.

I’m enjoying life outside of the classroom, but there’s a lot of things I miss about teaching!
I have a strong calling on my heart to continue to make an impact even if it isn’t in education.

I started Girl Power Group to help pr***ens/teens navigate these years. I give them tools and strategies to build confidence, courage, and self-awareness while we build community. 🫶🏼

We meet once a month in person (you can join virtually) and have an online community we share as well!

Our next meeting is July 20th!

Self-care isn’t just “eating healthy” and working out

Self-care can look like this.
Taking everything out of your closet and getting rid of and organizing.

And organized environment is self-care.
Time alone while listening to music and cleaning is self-care.

It looks different depending on the day, season, or phase.

Let’s normalize self-care looking a little different depending on the person and what they need.

I’ve got a 30 day self-care challenge starting March 6th! We’re going to build a self-care routine that works for us!
I like to make things easy and doable! We break it down into simple steps to avoid overwhelm and create sustainable habits.
