A beautiful day to celebrate and recognize the life and legacy of Bro. Jack Trice. A brother gone too soon but a legacy and mark that will last forever.
Today, Brothers joined Iowa State University, Trice Family, and community to commemorate Jack Trice. During the event, we were blessed by a student choir, words from President Wendy Wintersteen, Senior Vice President Dr. Younger, and George Trice. Brothers conducted the hymm in honor our dear Brother Jack Trice.
John “Jack” Trice was the first Black football player for Iowa State University. He joined Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity in 1923 by way of Alpha Nu and leadership of Brothers such as Bros. Frederick D. Patterson and Charles P. Howard.
