Pfizer's data indicates that a pediatric dose of its vaccine is 90.7% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19. However, the study population was limited to a not-very-diverse group of approximately 4,500 children, and there also are lingering concerns about complications from a rare heart condition known as myocarditis.
