Why I'm doing Mary Kay:
Aside from earning some extra money on the side, I was hoping to be able to start this business in order to reach out to old and current friends and stay in better contact with people, and so far it has really helped me reconnect with some old friends! I also am very excited to give out great customer service to others :D

Why Mary Kay?

Since I’ve started using Mary Kay, it has taught me not only proper skin care and makeup techniques, but also the value in self-care. It has become a creative outlet for me through makeup, and is a relaxation method for me with my skin care. Taking care of yourself is one of the most important things you can do, and setting aside time to relax and pamper yourself is a great way to do it.

We not only sell makeup, but we teach women how to use and apply it as well. We believe proper education and application is important, so that you can feel confident and have fun applying makeup that suits your style!

Below you'll find some basic info about the company, our founder, and the foundation she herself began:

Mary Kay was started in 1963 by Mary Kay Ash as "Beauty by Mary Kay" and was located in a small store in Texas. Today, we have approximately 3 billion consultants around the world and over 200 products in 35 countries. In a typical year, Mary Kay spends millions of dollars and conducts more than 300,000 tests to ensure the Mary Kay product meet the highest standards of quality, safety and performance. Mary Kay scientists regularly consult with independent dermatologists and other medical experts around the world.

The Mary Kay Foundation:
The mission of the TMKF is two-fold:
• We are committed to eliminating cancers affecting women by supporting top medical scientists who are searching for a cure for breast, uterine, cervical and ovarian cancers.
• We are committed to ending the epidemic of domestic violence by providing grants to women's shelters and supporting community outreach programs.

Since the Foundation began in 1996, it has granted $54 million dollars to organizations fighting cancer and violence against women.
