Starhead
Cowboy ethics, astronaut love songs, gypsy integers, driving at night, dancing barefoot. The ghosts of trains in minor chords.
Hearts, whiskey, peppers, sugar, sky, & soul.

i wake up, it's 80 degrees, and i have starhead music uncomfortably resting in my head.
didnt have any band dreams, or exes dreams, or even maudlin deams this morning, so there's no rhyme or reason to it, it just wandfered into my head like a cat entering a kitchen.
and the first time i heard this song was Willie doing it, in the movie Honeysuckle Rose ( top 5), where he was offering it to his wife, on whom he'd been cheating on, in front of a few thousand of his closest friends.
i've never cheated on a partner. be that a point of pride or weakness, it stands. and i'm not offering this to anyone to buy a cup of absolution, but it's art that i'm fiercely proud of, and i've few places to hang it. and it's as real as the teeth you never realize you've depended on. so, if you've tossed me 3 minuteds and 14 seconds of your life to sit with it, just know that i appreciate it more than you know. and if not, i'll likely never know, but i'm real good at lying to myself, so it kinda works out.
this is starhead.
a song for you, by starhead from the album the 13th spell
