Gynecologic Cancer in Black Women
Miranda Alexander, Founding President & Strategic Project Director of Caribbean Community in Philadelphia will host another round of monthly presentations and discussions with special guest, Dr. Alyssa Mercadel. Dr. Mercadel is a Gynecologic Oncology fellow and voluntary assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami. The presentation will cover the various GYN Cancers and women's health with the African Caribbean Cancer Consortium (AC3) members. CCP health initiative includes Caribbean Cancer Strong (CCS) and women's health. This presentation is made possible by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

Prostate Cancer - The Health Peril of Caribbean Men
Dr. Robin Roberts will explore how cancer of the prostate affect men of Caribbean and African Ancestry. He is a member of the African Caribbean Cancer Consortium (AC3) and a Urologist with the UWI School of Clinical Medicine and Research in The Bahamas. Miranda Alexander, Founding President of Caribbean Community in Philadelphia (CCP) will be the host of this forum. Caribbean Cancer Strong is a health initiative established by CCP as a support group to address cancer in Caribbean People. Dr. Camille Ragin, Principal Investigator and Professor at Fox Chase Cancer Center, leads AC3 and its 200 plus participating members in the US, the Caribbean, and in Africa.

"Liver Cancer - Race, Ethnicity & Screening in High Risk Populations"
Guest Presenter - Dr. Paulo Pinheiro is a consultant for Race-Ethnicity Methodology, a research professor on cancer epidemiology with twenty years of experience at Miller School of Medicine in Miami. He has pioneered the monitoring of cancer incidence in Hispanic sub-groups. Co-presenter - Dr. Patricia Jones is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Jones is currently building a research program which seeks to identify and alleviate the factors contributing to racial disparities in chronic liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma. She will review any clinical evidence and address the Q & A segment of the AC3 and CCP collaborative partnership program.

Breast Cancer in the African Diaspora
Meet Dr. Priscila Barreto-Coelho, a Hematology and Oncology Medical Fellow at the University of Miami - Miller School of Medicine Jackson Memorial Hospital. She will present specific scientific research data and findings about Breast Cancer within Peoples of African Ancestry. The discussion will be hosted by Miranda Alexander, Founding President of Caribbean Community in Philadelphia and co-hosted by Dr. Camille Ragin, Founder and Lead Principle Investigator of the African Caribbean Cancer Consortium (AC3). This presentation is supported by members of AC3 and the health initiative of CCP under Caribbean Cancer Strong (CCS). The project and program is funded by the Chan Zuckerburg Initiative Foundation.
