Nottingham Marrow
Nottingham Marrow is an award-winning student group at the University of Nottingham that works with A For this, they need a match of the same tissue type.
We sign students at the University of Nottingham onto the Anthony Nolan bone marrow register - all we need is a cheeky swab! Unfortunately every 20 minutes somebody is diagnosed with blood cancer, and often they have to rely on a stem cell transplant in order to survive. One person may only have one match in the whole world! We work to increase the chances of finding that match by signing as many

🚨 URGENT 🚨
Janice is desperately searching for her matching stem cell donor.
56-year-old Mum-of-two Janice from London, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia after being hospitalised for a flu and a sore throat that wouldn’t leave. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment to prepare her for a stem cell transplant, and is searching for her perfect match.
Patients like Janice need people aged 16-30, predominantly from Afro-Caribbean backgrounds, to join the Anthony Nolan stem cell register.

- Setting up events to recruit donors for the stem cell register
- Filling in event forms, books venues and put in a request for green boxes through Anthony Nolan
- Liaising with the publicity officer to advertise these events
