Gillim Set For World Superbike Debut This Weekend In Czech Republic - MotoAmerica Defending MotoAmerica Stock 1000 Champion Hayden Gillim is getting an opportunity he never thought he would get this weekend as he travels to the Czech Republic to race in the Autodrom Most round of the World Superbike Championship. Gillim, who currently leads the 2024 MotoAmerica Stock 1000 points....

Dunlop Motorcycle Tires continues to be the official tire support for racing and is launching a new program to support amateur road racers.

In addition to being the official tire of MotoAmerica, since its inception in 2015, will expand its very successful Team Dunlop Motocross and Flat Track program in 2025 to include select amateur Road Racers.

Team Dunlop was formed 18 years ago to help amateur motocross racers obtain tire support and receive more exposure, so they could chase their goals of becoming professional racers.

The Team Dunlop Road Race program will kick off at the Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Final August 9-11 at

During the 2024 Mission Mini Cup by Motul National Final, the winner of the MiniCup 160 and 190 classes will be awarded the first two Team Dunlop Elite program sponsorships. The remaining Team Dunlop Elite sponsorships will be selected in a few unique ways this winter. Within the next few weeks, Dunlop will announce how racers can apply for sponsorship opportunities and when they will begin accepting applications.

Dunlop hopes the new Team Dunlop Road Race Elite program will assist riders in their journey to the professional ranks, just as their motocross alumni have over the years.

“We are very excited to expand our Team Dunlop Elite program to amateur road racing,” said , Dunlop’s Director of Motorycle Product, Marketing and Motorsports. “We have been wanting to do this for years, but now with the support and backing from MotoAmerica to help create a U.S. national amateur series that will help develop amateur road racers into becoming professionals, we decided now was the perfect time to kick it off.”

“This program has been in the works for some time, so I am ecstatic that it is becoming a reality,” said .cori , Amateur Road Race Support Manager and Motorsports Logistics Coordinator for Dunlop Motorcycle Tires. “I am looking forward to working with the riders and their families and seeing how their road race careers progress.”

2024 Round 1 @ Road Atlanta

Results
- [ ] Qualified for Superbike Race
- [ ] Crashed twice-(qualifying/race1)
- [ ] Raced in the rain
- [ ] Finished top 20 for both races.

Summary:
Two weeks ago today I attended MotoAmerica Round one at Road Atlanta. It was an experience to say the least. Challenges existed yet myself and the team made the best of it.. Thankful to have had the opportunity to share the track with such talented riders; looking forward to the next opportunity 🤙

Extra:
Challenges with not only setup but some uncommon butterflies resulted in less than ideal results with two “offs” in the same turn. One during qualifying and another in race one. Many lessons throughout the weekend.

Highlights:
*Attempting to follow and analyze what some of the top riders were doing as they passed me on their super bikes was a job within itself. I worked hard focusing on my objective while being in awe that I was sharing the track with big dogs like Cam, Josh, JD, Brandon…and the rest of the talent ❤️🤙.

*Unplanned visit/help from good friend GeoffandJodi May and his wife Jody.

*Working late into the night on the bike with my small team of friends.

*Chatting with Roger Hayden for a few minutes

And as usual seeing my Dunlop Family…

I left Road Atlanta with mixed feelings- given I didn’t get to use my podium speech (sorry Hannah Wyman) 😂-next time- but thankfully I’m healthy, bike is relatively good, and I have great friends/support which puts things into perspective.

Lessons:
Ignore the noise, stay off social media, forward movement/progress all day every day, bad days happen, good days are made…

Thanks again to all my friends, family and to those that always support me. I’m forever grateful ❤️🤙

That’s a wrap the nationals and staff as usual put on an amazing event. They even managed to order up some amazing weather. Two races today A OpenSuperstock and A Superbike… I managed two 3rd place finishes chasing some fast guys. The racing was amazing clean, and again fast; overall was a blast. Entered six races this weekend and podiumed in all six with a PB of 11.3. it is Saint Pattys day and clearly I had my lucky Charm present who fed me Dunlops all weekend long🤙☘️

Dec 23 ride report! What an amazing day at the ranch! The weather was perfect and the people who showed up to ride were even better! Thanks to all who came out and make the slide ranch amazing ! We had tons of special guests including Flat Track Factory Mike Dillon(thank you for the knowledge) and a host of moto america pro’s! John Dunham , BrownTown Racing , Cj &Pops Crossling , PosseRacing ,
This place could not run without the tireless effort of our staff melissa johnson, anjie spencer , and of course last but certainly not least our send it instructor and friend . Will and I stayed up till 5:30am saturday morning getting things ready to go and were both back up by 9:30am to prep the track … The day was full of laughs and riding as well as fire pit party shenanigans and good times! Truly an amazing day thanks to all who support this place and Happy Holidays! Till next time

That’s a wrap for the weekend- 6th place my first time on a Ducati and first time at got down to 1:31.5 with some challenges (Ducati stuff 🤣) but managed to bring it home.💪
