🤎 It sets out what our smallest and most numerous creatures need from any future Government. Invertebrates are the foundations of a healthy environment, they are essential to ecosystem function and without healthy populations, it is impossible to halt nature's decline.

✅ As well as achieving existing targets and pledges, halting nature loss, and reversing invertebrate declines will require the following actions and commitments:
🌼Reconnect our landscape by filling B-Lines with wildflower-rich stepping-stones;
💡Set light pollution reduction targets;
🐝 Strengthen bee-friendly pesticide regulation;

The first Kemp's ridley sea turtle nest in Texas was laid here at the national seashore — a first-time nesting sea turtle laid 81 eggs! The eggs were collected by trained biological technicians and relocated for protected incubation. When the eggs hatch in 42-56 days, they will be released into the Gulf of Mexico.

If you are out in the park or on another Texas beach this summer and find a nesting sea turtle, please report your sighting to 1-866-TURTLE-5 (1-866-877-8535). Take as many photos as possible at a safe distance of 20 feet away, and mark the tracks left behind by the turtle. Please do not closely approach or disturb the nesting female during this process.

Following on from last year's guidance on spotting the UK's rarest reptile 🐉 (www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=595898139230354&set=a.362022235951280) our team have made a map of sightings of this elusive creature. Unfortunately, we are missing some historical records & need your help!

This tiny little mud turtle has hatched today, having been laid on New Years Day, 85 days at 28 degrees. Hopefully his brothers and sisters won't be far behind!
