Wednesday’s cocktail at sunset! Well, it may not be sunset yet, but the rain is “supposed” to be happening soon! I started celebrating early of what is coming to an end of a horrendous loan approval process. Well, the rain was “supposed” to be starting - 15 minutes ago! Ha

Summer is hot 🥵 After weeks of w**d wacking for camp parties, I am done with this heat. No more camping for a while ~> unless the ac does not get fixed!!!

Had a great few days camping with my granddaughter Abigayle and her friend Zoe! Took them to the Tye River Memorial Park for a swim then to Black Bear Creamery for ice cream. Hiked the property a bit and even had a visit from my niece Amy Lynn and her family.

Went back to the property today to do some w**d wacking around an area where I found an Elderberry Bush!!! Lots more work to be done! ✔️

Last day with Dan and Nancy Lucente. They got two nights up at Wintergreen Resort. Laura McNutt and I met them at the Nelson County Farmers Market in Nellysford. Got some good stuff. Dinosaur Kale and white turnips, Elderberry Glaze and jam. Flowers too! Then Dan went fishing and antiquing. We girls went to Brewing Tree for lunch.

Went out to property to w**d whack some more today. I NEED more than two batteries!! But then it started raining 🌱🌧️🌱

What else have I been doing this spring but w**d wacking? W**d wacking!

Another truck stuck on 151 switchback at Bryant’s Gap 🤦‍♀️

What’s Mishi doin’? Went to Lowe’s today to buy some mulch - ha, didn’t stop there🤦‍♀️ Getting things ready to go to property tomorrow to plant 10 native trees - crabapple,dogwood, redbud, and hawthorn - that were delivered yesterday (I had totally forgotten that I had ordered them from Arbor Day Foundation!) And then I had to buy one more🤷🏼‍♀️ Can’t walk through the garden center without buying a plant🪴

What’s Mishi doin’? Went foraging with Laura McNutt at the property today. No edible mushrooms (morels) to be found 😞 But we harvested some garlic mustard. I’ll be adding it to shrimp 🍤 I’ll let you know … the older plants do contain cyanide … so I’m cooking the hell out of it - twice (like kale). Then I added a splash of White Elderberry Balsamic Vinegar to spark it up a notch. After I cooked the shrimp, I added leftover Potato Leek Soup. I love recreating leftovers!!

A few hours today working the path at the property. Good therapy

Maisie and I spent the afternoon at the property working on the path, cutting back the briars, putting some downed tree limbs as a path border. So much more to do. But I enjoy it. Now for a cocktail and a shower and early to bed.

Great day out with Maggie MacDougall Bibey and family. A bit too wet to stay at the property for long. Had to stop in at Silverback Distillery and Brewing Tree for lunch of course 😋 Spending night in Richmond tonight with Kaitlyn Bibey with a kitty sleeping at my feet ♥️ 🐈‍⬛

Maisie and I enjoyed a nice day at the property yesterday. W**d wacking, starting a trail and finding the daffodil patch! 🌼

Headed to the property today. Greeted by this guy in my shed window LOL. Pulled a few w**ds and saw daffodils!! So I kept w**ding.

Last night clearing and cleaning condo before Tuesday’s closing. Couldn’t get it all done this afternoon, so Maggie brought me a cot and ice cream. Tomorrow Mike will bring me coffee and help me take stuff to dump/recycling/goodwill. L♥️VE my son in laws. Then back to Staunton for a new turn in my life. Good Nighty Night y’all

WOW! Who knew?🤷🏼‍♀️ I didn’t. A new store The Fix Thrift moved into Karen's Attic where I used to work! Gotta get in touch with them to donate! Gotta finish clearing out the condo … three weeks to closing!!!
