An offer to those near Grayslake, 60030 (within about 5 miles if you want delivery).

Would you be interested in having supper prepared for your family on Tuesday nights? Balancing jobs and kids’ schooling and household responsibilities and trying to keep it together is a lot. Everyone is so busy, and I know not all of us love to cook! I really miss cooking for large groups and catering parties, so I am offering meals prepared for a crowd, but portioned for families, each Tuesday. Each meal costs $35 and will be hot and ready-to-eat; you can pick up between 4-4:30 pm, or I will deliver to you between 4:30-5:30 pm ($5 more). Each meal serves 4.

Other Details
With your commitment, you will choose between the 2 meals offered each week: one vegetarian and the other with meat. You can switch between veg and non-veg week to week if you like.

I need to know your family’s food allergies and strong food aversions. (For example: I am allergic to eggplant; I dislike walnuts, coconut flakes and papaya.) I will not be able to offer a gluten-free option at this time.

Food will be prepared in a commercial kitchen, so while I will accommodate allergies and many aversions, you need to know that others use the facilities as well, and allergens may be present.

New Option to Skip One Week in a Series
Many families take vacations in June (yay - we can take vacations again!!!). And, sometimes one week’s menu might not appeal to your family. If you’d like to skip a week, please just tell me which week upfront so that I can plan accordingly.

Questions and Answers
Q. I’m going to be away one Tuesday next month. Can I still sign up for the series?
A. Yes! I will freeze your meal and you can get it when you return. Or you can choose to gift the meal to a nearby family or friend. Or you can skip that week.

Q. Do I have to commit to a whole month?
A. Yes. This allows me to offer a flat charge of $35/week, and balances cost differences for perhaps more expensive ingredients or a time-consuming preparation one week v. the next.

Q. What is the menu?
A. I will publish the menu mid-month for the upcoming month. I ask for your commitment for the upcoming month one week prior to the first meal so that I can start shopping for nonperishable items that are needed.

Q. Do I have to pay for the whole month up front?
A. To keep it simple, I will need your payment at the time of the first Tuesday pickup (or delivery) for the month. You can pay with cash, check, or Venmo. Taxes are already included in the cost. Series with 4 Tuesdays would be $140; 5 Tuesdays would be $175; 6 Tuesdays would be $210.
