Day 4. I'm almost thin!! Just kidding. 😂
This has been a challenge. I have enjoyed the foods I have made and am proud of myself for sticking with it! But I find myself craving things I didn't eat before. Like cake! I've never been much for cake, but lately I want to swan dive naked into an ooey gooey chocolate cake that's lined with rolos and butterfingers. It's ridiculous. I did have a root beer with Mamaw, and have curbed my need for sweets with fat free sherbet. What do you enjoy to curb the sweets cravings?
Those of you who have done meal prep - what were your favorite things to put in there? I think I'll do better if I have a pre-made meal sitting in the fridge waiting for me vs. trying to figure out what I can and can't eat each meal. I've been told it works better to eat 4-5 small portions a day vs. two or three larger ones. I'm trying to retrain my tummy that seconds aren't ok! That's going to be hard.
How are ya'll doing with your eating changes?
Good morning all! I had hoped to have everything figured out for my change in eating this weekend, but it was gone in the blink of an eye! Planning is going to be key for my success. I'm still in the "figuring this out as I go" phase, so bare with me!
I did, however, make it to the grocery. I got the guys' normal foods, but purchased separate groceries for myself. I chose three meals to divvy up to get me through the week. Lettuce wraps, jerk chicken and grill packs. So I purchased romaine lettuce hearts, turkey and tomato for the wraps, a family pack of chicken legs to bake, and then steak, tomatoes, garlic, brussel sprouts, etc. for the grill packs. (I'll pretty much throw any veggie in there - it's all good grilled!) I also purchased for snacking, some veggie steam packs. To make it tolerable I bought spray butter with no calories!
The drinks are what is going to be the hardest for me. I purchased two cases of water and sugar/calorie free drink mixes to go in my waters. But man, no pop... I am going to have to wean myself from them, because cold turkey is going to destroy me.
Let me know what changes you have made, or what you bought at the grocery this weekend to eat this week!!
I've been reading articles about how to start this process, and this one really hit home! Give it a read, and let's get our ducks in a row!

I'm Drucilla. I'm 39 years old and live in Richmond, Indiana. To be short and sweet about it, I'm tired of all of this issues that come with being overweight. I have known for years I was overweight, but seeing as I avoid scales I didn't realize how out of control it was! Recently I jumped on a scale.
That number BROKE MY HEART! But instead of crying over it, I'm going to do something about it!
