A Fairfield, CT, based girls soccer travel team, carrying on the tradition of FUSA U11 Blue Bombers and FUSA U11 White Bomber Sharks!
Last minute of the game... plus madness that ensued... pure joy to watch this team win it all!
Coach Mike said this morning: It’s a beautiful day to win a championship. They went, they fought, they did it! FUSA U13 Red - Division B/C Champs!
Final score: Fairfield - Bethel 3:2 (goals by Julia McKeon, Becca Kushel and Ellie Price).
One of Coach Kate’s great halftime speeches. This one before the second half of the championship game vs Bethel. Got the girls fired up!

Great day, good tourney at FAST 2016. We finished 3rd in our U13 (!!!) bracket with a 1 win, 2 ties and only one loss record. One goal scored (a very cool and composed finish by Adriana proceeded by a string of a few very nice passes) and one conceded (vs the winners from North Haven). Had we had one play go our way (a disallowed goal vs FUSA U13 or a successful breakaway in the last second vs the Darien U13 game) would've given us a second place, which we totally deserved. But despite not getting a trophy we did not come home empty handed - our stomachs were filled with delicious DQ ice cream and our hearts were filled with pride and satisfaction due to a job well done!
Next up, a friendly vs the PARENTS, Sept 11th, time/place TBD!
In the last weekend of May Bomber Sharks participated in a Memorial Day Weekend tournament in Fishkill, NY. The girls played valiantly, losing the opener, beating Yorktown 3:1 and falling in a close battle in a game for the second place. Coming in third resulted in getting medals, which made all the effort, sweat and tears all totally worth it!
Are you ready for tomorrow's Memorial Day tournament in Fishkill? Bomber Sharks totally are! To get our spirits up here's our new logo courtesy of Amy's sister Lisa!
Fourth victory of the season - a 4:1 drubbing of Easton-Reading United. Goals by: Kaylee, Leah, Avery and Lindsay!
Few more shots from the 2015 Fall campaign - a 1:2 loss to Wilton (Elizabeth was a lone goalscorer).
Last game of the season - a 0:3 loss to a co-champion Newtown. Too harsh of a score, we hang in there for the entire game. They were a better team but a one goal game would be a more fair result.
Ladies, it was a great season, you have a lot to be proud of! Have a nice winter and see you in the Spring!
Remember Mateusz Miaz? This Sunday (3pm, Red Bull Arena in Harrison) he will be playing for his second Conference final in two years. Our game is at noon and ends at 2pm. Plenty of time to get to RBA and cheer him on!
Danny Szetela from New York Cosmos has a message for our team! He's friends with Pelé! Please like his page!
Parents vs. Blue Bombers a few weeks ago! What a fun day! Everyone had such a blast!!
Great photos from not so great Monroe game. Thanks Liz Carroll Giardina!
Some pictures from last weekend.
Here's the standings with two games remaining. We still have a good shot at the playoffs!
What a great looking bunch! A sneak-peak of the photo day (kudos to Amy Close Nagy)!
Team outing after the tough game vs New Canaan (1:1 with the lone goal coming from Avery). The girls had fun at the Fairfield Stags Men's soccer home season finale vs Rider. The halftime mini-game provided a lot of excitement with the Red Team beating the White Team 2:1. Thanks to all that made it despite the cold evening!
