My view from work today. Nice and relaxing! But also… An hour early! Check in isn’t until 3 o’clock people! Do not help yourself to arrive a whole hour early and think that it’s not going to make your Cleaner feel rushed and anxious. That is so disrespectful And rude. I really do hope that they enjoy their stay, but if they give so much as less than a five star for clean, then I will lose it.

Hiking? Mountain biking on Galbraith? We've got that! And a hot tub for after! Swimming in the lake ... a park, dog-friendly ... In Sudden Valley!

We’ve been doing a lot of work along the Nooksack River the last couple of weeks. What a great place to stay whether you are heading up to Baker to go skiing or in the spring or summer going up hiking! We even recently had a fence built around the hot tub for more privacy. Ask me about coming to stay at the Huckleberry Hideaway!

Thought I’d share some cleaning/ tidying pointers here. Maybe even share some of my older tips. Let me know what you think! Let me know some ideas or tips you’d like me to share!

Here’s one I dealt with the other day. First picture shows how the bathroom can looked when I first saw it. Bag is hanging out and messy.
Tuck that little tail from the knot under and sorta squish it in then make sure when you put the liner back in the can, the knot goes in the small opening in back.. where the lid connects, so the can still closes.

Book for Spring break, or even just a short weekend staycation! Sleeps up to 8. Two queen beds and four twins! Walk out the door and walk right to the beach!

Local businesses should support one another instead of competing. There's lots of work out there.

How about feeling like you are on a boat?! The Beachfront Bungalow in Birch Bay. Guests have said that they had to play rock paper scissors to decide who got to sleep in the room looking over the water! (The listing photo) The house is so close to the water that the waves splash on the deck! What a way to be lulled to sleep! Sleeps up to 7 comfortably but allowing up to 9! Pets welcome!

Bring your hiking boots or mountain bike and hop on the trail directly behind the backyard. Afterward, jump into the hot tub, or use the BBQ and relax by the fire pit. Raining out? We do live in Washington! Gather together for a cozy night in with board games.

Pups are welcome! Head down to the lake for water fun, a picnic, and the dog park. Don't forget to wander out to shop and visit breweries in Bellingham, or to The Sound .. for oysters at Taylor Shellfish!

This family-friendly home has comfortable, homey touches throughout. It features 3 bedrooms with queen-sized beds on the main floor and a bunk bed downstairs, with a twin mattress on top and full on the bottom.
The downstairs has an easy-to-operate pellet stove and kid's toys for your little ones.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a full meal! (Pots, pans, flatware, cutlery, mixing bowls, baking dishes, toaster, wine glasses, salt/pepper, cooking oils, etc). Just bring the groceries!

The backyard has a hot tub and a fire pit (you can buy firewood at the local store, ~4 min drive) and a BBQ. The grill is hooked up to the house gas so no need to worry about tanks.
Lake Whatcom is about a mile from the house. We have a stand-up paddle board and a kayak for you to use. The paddle board is inflatable and easy to transport. There's a foam roof rack which fits most cars to transport the kayak. There are also two adult (M+L) and two child life jackets.
Downtown Bellingham is ~15 mins from the house. Go shopping, visit breweries, or go out to many of Bellingham's amazing restaurants. Check the in-house guest book for advice on where to eat or for sample itineraries for your trip.
