. “Ah, SUGAR, SUGAR (honey, honey)” 🎼- BRING IT ON! Yay!!! 🍭
First of all—-sugar is NOT the enemy! .
Did you know that many athletes turn to sugar for fuel because glucose, aka sugar, is the most readily available source of energy for you body and brain?🧠😋
(* audience gasps*😮) .
And that’s not all—sugar and sweets🍪 are meant to be ENJOYED! YES—-they can be part of a healthy lifestyle! And you don’t have to earn it by working out 🏋🏻‍♀️at the gym or by restricting your calories. You deserve to enjoy it JUST BECAUSE! All foods fit in moderation. .
In our diet-obsessed culture and society, it can hard to be intuitive about our choices or say yes to sweets without GUILT!
But I’m here to tell you that it’s not only POSSIBLE, but it enhances your quality of life! 🌈
It’s much more unhealthy to obsess over diets, calorie restriction (which by the way physiologically leads to binge eating), and exercise. .
So the next time you’re debating in your head whether or not you should “cheat” on your diet or splurge...PLEASE remember that you deserve to treat yourself and honor your cravings! 💕
Like a wise person once said “restrict self-hate, not calories!”❤️

As long as you don’t have a medical condition,(e.g., chrones, celiac, diabetes etc) that requires you to not eat certain foods for YOUR WELLBEING...please enjoy all foods! Yes, even carbs...go for that double fudged sundae if your feeling it. Everything in moderation is healthy! So go eat up some yummy food!

Self-care can look different for everyone (maybe nature speaks to you or reading a great novel, or hanging out with friends etc.) The bottom line is—it’s really important to take care of yourself FIRST 🥇and spend at least part of your weekend recharging you’re batteries because YOU ARE IMPORTANT! .
It’s not selfish to self-care. It’s actually the antithesis of selfish because only then can you truly show up for another in your most authentic way!

In honor of day #4 of National Eating Disorder Awareness week 2018, let’s learn how to empower ourselves in our lives which will help boost our self-confidence and positivity.
Together, let’s learn to LET GO of the things that are no longer serving us and weighing us down. Let’s work to let go of expectations, guilt, shame, self-hatred, the past, ours or others’ mistakes to make a TON of room for POSITIVITY 🌟in our lives.
Take a moment everyday to remind yourself that your worthiness is inherent and you are ALWAYS deserving of love❤️. Your value is immeasurable and is in NO WAY tied to any number (e.g, weight, clothing size, income etc.), your appearance, or your achievements. .
By letting go of all the “baggage” 👜that is no longer productive, you’re making room for so MANY BLESSINGS 🌈 that are just waiting to come into your life!

In honor of day #3 of National Eating Disorder Awareness week 2018, let’s learn how to empower our kids and bolster their self-confidence WITHOUT tying their special uniqueness to appearances or achievements.
Let them know their worthiness is inherent. They always deserve love ❤️! (No matter what). Say the words “I love you for just being you” and hug them often.
Say “you’re brave” or “you’re creative” over “you’re beautiful” or “you’re the fastest on the team.”
Help empower your child in his/ her body by allowing him/ her to move in a way that feels good and that is fun for your child! Let them know their precious & special no matter what!

Tomorrow, Monday February 26th, marks the beginning of National Eating Disorder Awareness week 2018 thanks to . This year’s theme is ‘Let’s Get Real.’ So let’s!


I’ll start tonight with this caveat: EVERYONE knows somebody who struggles/struggled with disorder eating/body image issues/ a severe or chronic eating disorder (ED)...and let’s face it- who doesn’t struggle with body image from time to time?(it’s okay and normal to from time to time...but let’s find out when it becomes unhealthy...)


So PLEASE LET’S GET EDUCATED together on the topic, dangers , and statistics of ALL TYPES OF EATING DISORDERS. .............................................................

*At least 30 million people of all ages and genders suffer from an eating disorder in the U.S.


*Every 62 minutes at least one person dies as a direct result from an eating disorder


*Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness
