On our way out of Vancouver, Wa I stopped and paid a visit to Mayers Custom Meats and I'm glad we did. The ladies I met were incredibly friendly and put a ton of passion into they're store.

I think you'll enjoy the buildings esthetics and the fantastic selection of well, everything! You can pick up The Black Flag there now too!

Everywhere I went in Oregon was special in it's own way. Ebner's Meats is off the beaten path but it is one of those spots that is worth a few more minutes in the car.

I met them at the Sportsman Show in Portland and lost their card. Two years later they welcomed us with an open shelf.

Go see these guys and gals. You'll be glad you did!

While in Portland it's important to get situated for dinner but one must also have lunch. When you need both, go talk to Cason's. It isn't advertised on their site but I got a plate of BBQ that got my momma slapped. Complete with greens and the whole nine. Better ask somebody.

They'll tell you the man has fresh meat and legit prices. And now they have The Black Flag...

While working at the Oregon Renaissance Faire earlier this month I found this Portland landmark.

Otto's Sausage Kitchen and Meat Market got started doing their thing over 100 years ago! It's one of those stores you can feel the history in when you enter and I'd personally highly recommend you so.

Wonderful service and a great place to find local products on the go. Whether planning a weekend BBQ or you're in need of a gift on the way to a dinner with friends, this eclectic Portland staple has you covered.

We are incredibly excited to announce that our products are now available at West Seattle Thriftway. This store has specialty, Washington made products everywhere you look. It's curated wonderfully. Stop in and you'll see us on the end cap facing the front entrance! We'll also be doing a live demonstration there on Friday, 7/26. More to come...

It's the day after father's day but this is where a lot of my motivation comes from. It's why I'm out there.

Sam was 1 when we won the competition that started our business. She still loves hanging out with her pops and the moments we get to spend smoking and grilling meat and talking about life are some of the most precious to me.

I've loved this butcher shop for a long time. They've put many a holiday meal on our table over the years. Excellent selection, incredibly clean and friendly.

We're now available in both of their locations in Bellevue and Woodinville! Look for some in store sampling soon.

Feeling blessed this weekend to head to Portland and work with my daughter while showing value in this entrepreneurial lifestyle and meeting super cool new people I'm the process. Plus we get to dress up like Pirates. Win 5x.

Come see us in Canby this weekend and the next 2 after it because we're having a blast. Jousting, Turkey Legs, there were kids playing baseball with a stick.and a pine cone and this cat in the picture was legit cutting meat off a bone with a knife dipping it into sauce. Probably saw 5 cell phones out all day- MAXIMUM. People being people!

We are so incredibly excited to be part of such a gorgeous grocery store. Hilltop Red Apple is a crisp, inviting destination with a lot of charm and personality. All of their different departments are thoughtfully laid out and the vibe is helpful and pleasing in all of them.

We'll be setting up a display for samples and a meet and greet there very soon. We can't wait to meet the community on Beacon Hill!

He's the first butcher in Washington I've seen that dry ages meat. On. Site. It's the real deal. Prime and the whole n9ne.

Get a friend like Shawn...

Coming off the baddest beat in my professional career I was questioning my ability, I was out of confidence and over the restaurant industry. I got a job as a GM at what turned out to be another complete $ #!+ show restaurant (it's Famous for it.) But in the process I met this guy. My happy hour buddy right off the bat. So much rum.
We shared our mutual disappointment in deteriorated service standards, poor ex*****on with food becoming a trend and so many more problems we were going to solve with a new company.
We created The Black Flag. This person I knew for less than a year went all in on my recipes, concept and philosophy on food. He bought a van for farmers markets (which we destroyed) and put just about all his money on black.
We parted ways professionally and he runs a wildly successful concierge business out of state.
A couple weeks ago he had some free time so we loaded his MUCH nicer van and drove out to Chicago.
12 years after starting it with me he was representing in a new territory working my booth.
Without this guy you don't have The Black Flag.

So get a friend like Shawn. Accept no substitutes

Surf and Turf with Wild Alaskan Halibut / aged Prime New York- Garlic Butter Broiled Potatoes with Honey Jamaican Jerk- Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Shallot Cracked Black and Sea Salt.

My grill marks on the fish could get tighter but that Medium Rare on the Yo cannot 🔥☠️💰
