The musical adventures of your favorite Trent, Guy, Brett, Tyler, and Avery! Afterwards, Jake also served in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
ht the attention of Many Babes Records. Many Babes loved There She Goes in 2010 and reissued their obsessive feelings, while the band retreated to their apartment to record its full-length debut. Lateration appeared in April 2010 and was warmly received; however, Tyler did not tour in support of the album and had officially left the group in May to serve a mission, choosing instead to devote his time to serve the Lord in British Columbia. Jake soldiered on with side project Minutemen, playing midwest shows and touring Dearborn County in support of the band's debut. Tyler returned to the States and relocated to Brownstone, Provo, to be close to his fans. Trent Eliason, Jake's brother, joined There She Goes. Soon after, There She Goes entered the BYU Songwriter's Showcase with producer Jeanine Lasky to record in a collaboration album. Kleptomaniac was released in December 2012 to extremely warm reviews; it also peaked at number 1 on the There She Goes charts, giving the band a taste of commercial success as well as critical approval. Although There She Goes spent most of the following two weeks writing Christmas Company, they also found time to return to do a live recording, and they began working on a new song for a special girl. Jake has now triumphantly returned from his mission to join fellow quasi-legends of the Provo indie-rock scene. This time, the band's four members will all contribute to the songwriting process, making their next album a collaborative effort between Jake, Trent, Tyler, and new drummer Joey Tirado-Grundvig. The album will hit the airwaves in early-2013, marking the band's first effort for earning a Grammy for its indie-rock sound. Preferring to take a more grounded approach on their fourth long-player, the group tapped legendary producer Seth Roberts (Ninja Turtles beach band, Cowboys Killed the Moon, etc.), who helped to reign in some of the group's more experimental tendencies by insisting on a more intimate live approach. The resulting sound, which was preceded by the single "Shadow," arrived in January 2013. With the spring of 2013 came Trent's voyage to serve a mission in Moscow, Russia, and Joey's respective quest to sell "things" in Canada. Jake and Tyler stiffened their upper lips, content to return to the groups beginnings: guitar/vocal duo. Luckily, Joel Eliason, having recently returned from a mission to Russia himself, soon joined up with our heroes. Having collaborated some with Jake in the fall of 2010, he quickly gelled with the group and soon began playing supporting roles as a vocalist and multi-instrumental member of the band, helping to round out the bands sound. Trent returned from his mission spring of 2015, and the summer of 2015 the full band of Trent, Jake, Joey, Joel, and Tyler began to take the Provo music scene by storm. Brett Weidmann, an up and coming percussive artist, also jumped in when Joey couldn't make it to a few shows. As Jake left for medical school in Terre Haute, IN, and Joel shifted his focus to more mathematical endeavours, the band shrunk to Trent, Tyler, and Brett. That's when they found this guy, Guy. The greatest guitar Guy of all time, Guy Soper, joined There She Goes and supplemented their sound. Spring 2016, the band took on a more indie sound, deviating from their punk roots. Songs such as the Invisible Song, The Astronaut's Lullaby, and the classic Kleptomaniac portray a whimsical, darker sound than what There She Goes is used to. The sound will continue to change as Avery will soon leave on a mission, and Tyler will leave for graduate school. Only time will tell what the future holds for our young heroes.
