I'm Claire, the one woman show behind Claire Mints Makeup Artistry!

My journey to this point has been a fun and crazy one - taking me from my hometown in Texas all over the country and even to Paris, France! The most important parts of my journey are in Nashville, Tennessee where I went to makeup school at . I then traveled to Atlanta, Georgia to work in the movie industry for a few years, met and married my husband, and started our family. I happily moved back to Nashville and accepted a job teaching at my old school, AMUA! Teaching and encouraging other artists has been a fun experience! I never thought I wanted to teach, but I'm glad I took on the challenge and have felt rewarded and encouraged at every step.

But there's more to the artist than just my makeup journey. If I'm not doing something makeup and hair related, you'll find me at church or cooking/baking. I praise God for the places He's taken me and the drive He gifted to me to become a mama, wife, instructor, and business woman! I'm also a big fan of yoga and gardening and going on adventures with my kids to museums, trails, trying a new recipe, and any other shenanigans we can find! I love being a mama more than anything, but love having an outlet for my creativity (and a space to talk to adults every now and again!).

I have a hard time picking favorites, but I do have a few books and shows I recommend! I recently read A Gentleman in Moscow and CAN'T WAIT to see the limited series adaptation. My favorite class in college was a Literature and Film class where we discussed adaptations (and yes, the book is always better and yes, I'm a nerd).
