Germs are not for sharing, but all germs are not bad! Here is one of the good germs we made at our latest Germ STEAM Playdate.

This Playdaye is super fun and extremely informative. The children are always impressed when they see all the germs on their hands!

How are you driving home the lesson? STEAM is the glue between the developmental domains. Try incorporating STEAM activities into your lesson plan to keep students engaged and interested in the lesson. Keep me posted on how it works!

Early exposure to scientific ideas can lead to early mastery of concepts. It can also inspire a lifetime love for learning and an inquisitive mind

Expose children to complex ideas early so they are not afraid to figure things out! In this society full of instant gratification, we need to ensure that the future can be supported by critical thinkers!

Try introducing a complex ideas and then presenting simple tasks to achieve it. Eventually, it all seems achievable! A great example here is trying shoes, it seems so difficult then BAM someone thought of bunny ears! Try breaking everything up into achievable tasks and watch your tiny people achieve mastery!

In planning, design, ex*****on and redesign, children learn that it is ok to be imperfect. They also learn that is is not a loss to have to try again if you've learned from your mistakes!

I think the part that makes my heart smile the most is when they realize that there are so many ways to execute one objective!

I used to think to myself all the time...

With all these standards that we use to create our goals for children, how are we nurturing the goals they have for themselves? 🤔
We spend so much time creating ways to keep the children's attention, that we often get burned out!

But what if we simply followed the lead of the experts, the children!

Planning would certainly be much easier!

When planning lessons, I would say things like, "If I had more help I could..." or "If I had more time I would..." Does that sound like you?

The reality is, I knew how to plan for the day but I didn't know how to plan for success
