Shikles Cabinets
I design, build and install custom cabinetry and built-in furniture.
I built this vanity for the guest bath of some great repeat clients last year. We decided to take this one up a notch with the beaded face frames. The clients did a beautiful job picking the paint, stone countertop and accessories to really set this small space apart!
Here are a few images of a Primary Bathroom vanity that I built last year for my favorite clients. The inset doors and drawer fronts go beautifully with the Taj Mahal Quartzite top with stone backsplash and shelf. The shaped stone side splashes and brass hardware really make the piece pop.
I finally had a chance to get some photos of a space that I collaborated on with RDM Architecture in late 2019/early 2020. It was a stressful job, but I feel like the results were worth it.
I wrapped up a project that was long in the making last week. Here are some images of the master bath assembly. It's definitely the largest linen pantry I've ever built as it goes all the way up to the nine-foot-high ceiling.
I was lucky enough to participate in yet another collaboration with RDM Architecture on a basement bar in Lee's Summit. I'm pretty proud of the results.
I was commissioned to build a custom kitchen for a leawood couple late last year. They were thrilled with the result. I was finally able to get some pictures this week.
I was approached last year to collaborate on a kitchen for an eccentric retired attorney. After many indecisions and revisions on the part of the client, we finally came up with a fusion of brightly colored wood and stainless steel sculpture that she absolutely adored. I have a feeling that it will stand as the most...unique(?) (if not outright strange) space that I will build for years to come.
A wall to wall vanity that has more drawers in 8 linear feet that in most kitchens. Our signature frameless design gives the cleanest look possible while maximizing storage space by leaving out width-hogging face frame members.
A Liberty couple came to me with a concept (see their drawing at the end) that they wanted realized for their kitchen. This is the result. Please feel free to reach out for help making your design visions a reality. You can reach us here (see button below) or call anytime at (816) 699-9707.
Mid-Century modern built-ins for the finished basement of a Frank Lloyd Wright style house.
I was honored to receive a commission to build a pair of custom displays for Nell Hill's at The Shops in Briarcliff late last year to display their selection of Pickwick candles. A member of the management team told me that the increased sales more than paid for the pieces within the first month. I'm excited to have my work featured prominently in the entrance to the nicest furniture store (and probably the most well curated retail space in general) in the metro area.
This is a basement finish that I did for a client a few years ago. It inspired the neighbors three doors down to do a similar one (see my last post).
This is a pair of built ins along with two custom herringbone barn doors and a Dutch door for an under stair Hobbit hole for the kids to play in.
