24 hours in Marseille. On a recent work trip I had solo day to explore the city. Here’s what I did:
- Visited the beach: the water is so nice, it was a fun way to start the day. And there are private options or public areas if you bring your own towel. I went to Plages du Prado.
- Walked on the coast: went south from the old port and checked out Corniche Kennedy bridge.
- Explore La Panier – really cool neighborhood with cobbled and winding streets, lots of art and shopping. Loved stopping here for a coffee.
-Boat trip to the Calanques - Calanques National Park is just south of Marseille. You get to see big rocky coves on the coast filled with crystal blue water. Next time I visit I’d love to spend more time here.
- Walk around the old port – after the boat trip, I had time to walk around and enjoy the views on the old port.
- Visit the Sofitel rooftop bar a sunset – this is where I took this picture from. Really great drinks and views of the city.
