Struggling to get the whole work/life balance right atm :( Working from home may sound easy but with the crazy hours I end up working nothing else is getting done! Least of all dieting/exercising. Decided this week to pack myself a lunch each night for the following day to see if I can at least try to prep something healthy and stick to it rather than grabbing something unhealthy to eat at my desk. So far had salad and tuna pasta this week, will let you know how I get on!

Unfortunately gained a lb this week but have gone home and created some breakfast muffins. Bacon lining a muffin tray with some veg, topped with a whole egg and seasoned to taste. They smell awesome and I can't wait to try them!

Yay! Another successful weigh in tonight and a further 2 lbs lost, very happy with that result and just 1 lb more till my first award!

Well just goes to show it works but ya gotta wait the whole week! 3.5lbs lost and slimmer of the week! Think I've got enough fruit to last me? ;)

Well its the start of another new year and whilst I was doing very well this time last year, thanks to a change in circumstances (I got promoted and went full time!) which, looking back, I was totally unprepared for, my diet went out the window! I gained back loads of the weight I'd taken so long to lose so I bit the bullet, went back to class and committed to another 12 week set of classes, starting in earnest last tuesday morning! Tomorrow is the first weigh in, I'm hoping I've learnt from my mistakes and learned how to fit in lunch at work and dinner etc whilst working a 50-60 hr week! The slimming world plan has changed slightly, making it a lot simpler, so that is my aim - simplify! Fingers crossed it works!

After several disastrous weeks where I have done nothing but gain weight I need to get back to it and lose weight again! I am still really positive so hope that this week will be my week to lose a fair bit. I have a ball to attend in just under 3 months and I really would like to look amazing. At the beginning of the year I had a target in mind, I will be way off that now but I have another goal in mind which is very realistic and one I WILL reach!!

So I'm not sure what's happened but after gaining last night (and gaining big!) I've woken up feeling really determined!! Have had loads of fruit already, pasta and salad for lunch then I've already prepped a rice salad for tea! Ohhhh and some jelly sweets ready for work tonight! Feeling good today lets hope it lasts!

Weigh in night again tonight, after losing 1.5lbs last week I was a bit disappointed to only lose half a lb tonight. Yes its definitely going in the right direction so I'm happy with that but I had hoped it would be going a little faster especially with the amount still to lose! So I have decided to set myself a 30 day challenge and I would love if some others could join me and keep me updated with how they're getting on! For seasoned exercisers these many seem very easy but for those of us who are very unfit (ie. me!) some of these are going to be hard going! I have done day one today and will attempt to post every day for the next 30 days to let you know how I'm doing :)
