Patchwork Cushion/Tote bag Workshop

Learn how to create this lovely patchwork piece and then choose whether to turn it into a pretty quilted cushion or a useful tote bag.
Learn how to cut stitch, layering and quilt and then create a simple envelope-style cushion or tote bag
If you are a complete beginner we will also guide you on how to use your machine.
Cost includes backing fabric and wadding, bring your own choice of fabrics or these can be supplied at a small additional cost

A few days away at the most lovely dog friendly cottage and we are back, rested ,refreshed and full of lots of new ideas

All set up at Dauntsey Festival of Transport & Country Show 13&14th July SN15 4HL the weather's good and there's lots going on

Next step is to make the piping and insert zips for each cushion

Once the measurements have been checked and re checked and the fabric chosen we cut the sponge, we use firm upholstery grade sponge and wrap it in dacron and stockinette, this improves the comfort and durability.
Fabric is now cut to size, in this case each cushion has at 7 different fabric pieces

Calculating and cutting this lovely herringbone fabric for a set of bespoke seat cushions.
I will try and remember to take pictures at each stage to show you the whole process
