Deer season is quickly approaching as it does every year. But like every year as before it will be here and gone before we know it.

Been slacking on this page for the Facebook followers. Great opening day in Maryland last weekend. Been a very blessed season and hope to continue to be blessed. Season is far from over but it does fly by fast.

It's fishing season ladies and gentlemen! This past weekend wasn't super productive, but it did turn up a personal best. Tight lines to all those fisherman, get it while the gettings good!

If you’re not caught up on what Thick N Rugged Outdoors has been up to… you’re not missing much. Rifle season has came and went and it wasn’t nearly as eventful as years past but still a good time none the less. Late season has potential as always. Stick around and show support and before too long we’ll be on the water wishing we were in the woods as we’re in the woods wishing to be on the water.

Yesterday we helped out a fellow outdoorsman that got a sh*tty deal. He was out hunting and got down from his stand to spot and stalk for about 45 minutes. He returned to his spot to get back in the tree just to discover some as***le stole his tree stand while he was gone. He made a post on TikTok and I was mad for him. Luckily everything played out that he lives close enough and I was in a position to help. So I did what we all should do if we are in the position to do so and that was give this man one of mine. He can now return to the woods fully equipped with a nice climber stand. We’re here to help one another not bash each other.

Wasn’t much for active deer today. But the rut is starting to heat up and the next month is the time of the year every Hunter dreams of.

To think a buck of this caliber has lived 10.5 years in the wild. Avoiding danger every hunting season. Using his nose eyes and ears and instinct to stay alive is amazing. To wonder what this deer did all its life is amazing. And the truth of it is there’s plenty of deer bucks and doe that live this long that we as humans NEVER see because they know where to stay alive and safe.
