Roasted sweet potatoes and cauliflower. Steamed broccoli and spinach. And just a small amount of rice (brown would be better but I didn't have any on hand) for me, I only eat a small amount of grains because they make me tired and slow me down. Not the case for everyone, but part of being healthy is listening to your body and knowing what works regardless of what you're told you should eat.

The first thing I do in the morning when I wake up, before I even get out of bed is journaling. This is where I write about everything I have to do for the day, how I'm feeling and what I am grateful for. Included in my list of things I'm grateful for, I always include my health as part of that list and more often than not it makes the number one spot.
I am physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy which allows me to use my body and mind in pretty much any way I desire. By showing my gratitude for my health, I nourish mind and body every day with physical activity, meditation, and good food.
If you're not nourishing your body, the vessel that is supporting you through life, are you really being grateful for what you have or are you taking it for granted?

Meditation has been the biggest blessing in my life thus far. Being someone who used to have a violent temper well into my early twenties, I started looking for ways to find balance.
