Knocknamuckley Girls Brigade is
a Christian organisation which runs from Sept-April for girls aged 3
All our Parishioners and friends are warmly invited to the service of institution of Rev Ian McGrath on Wednesday 4th September at 7.30pm. We encourage everyone to come, welcome and support Ian and his family as they join us here in Knocknamuckley.
It is really happening!!
ICGB is going back to a face-to-face gathering and all roads will be leading to the Cook Islands in March 2026.
If you would be interested in being a delegate to represent GBNI at ICGB, please contact Debra at GBHQ for more details regarding costs and how to register your interest.

Best wishes to all our members await exam results tomorrow.
Praying that you will be pleased with your results and trusting that, whatever tomorrow brings, you have a bright future when you trust God to take control.
Every one of us are unique with our own gifts and talents, and God has a plan for every one of us, his will is perfect.
Tomorrow’s results turn another page of a book with many pages and chapters.
God bless and sleep well !! 🙏❤️❤️❤️
We are looking forward to
returning to GB in September. Registration during the first week of September, returning to our usual chaotic fun week beginning 9th September.
Apologies for the delay in sharing this really good news- Rachel Morrow, had a new baby boy while we were at camp. This is a special baby with a very proud big brother and cousin!!
Wishing David, Rachel, Max and Oliver God’s richest blessing for the future.
I hope you are enjoying the Olympics.
I’ve ‘borrowed’ this photos from our friends Paul’s GB, Lisburn. A message too good not to share. ❤️🙏
🤔Are you in GB, aged 14-18 and at a loose end from 17th - 21st August?
🤔Would you like to learn new skills, take on some challenges and meet new friends?
📌A number of places have become available for the Army Summer Camp in partnership with GBNI. This camp is at Ballykinlar and is completely free, all meals and Army kit will be supplied to all participants. It is a brilliant opportunity for any GB girls needing a residential for their Gold DofE Award.
📌If you would like more details on how to sign up for this adventure, please email [email protected]
The last day and packing up everything is a mamoth task. We very much appreciate the help and support of so many who make this possible- Jimmy and Maddog, using holidays to bring up the lorry, Freddy Kelly Gilford Van Hire for his generous support once again, our wonderful campers who follow our instructions so willingly (most of the time). Many hands really do make light work!
Another camp over safely. We
were blessed with perfect weather this
morning to pack up and a good end to
a busy week which we trust will, when the tiredness passes, have been a very enjoyable week for our campers and helpers of all ages.
Crazy Golf , Bouldering at the Bloody Bridge Cloughmor Extreme Adventures, Beach fun, Tug of War(of sorts), tent sports- (perhaps the boys were more enthusiastic), adventures in the beautiful Tollymore Forest Park, the odd coffee or ice cream thrown in for good measure, Newcastle, retail therapy, good food and fun with a truly amazing group of young people.
What is there not to love! (perhaps hard ground, early morning and migies- not that we are prone to complain).
Some reported enjoying the sun rising over the Mournes this morning before the went to sleep- 😩🙈but I am sure none of my young ladies would have been at anything of the sort!!
The Weather today has been beautiful and our campers made the best of the weather with lots of fresh air and sport. (Not a mobile phone in sight!)
I’m not sure how much our girls contributed to the final scores in touch rugby but what experts they will be @ volleyball after Rodney sharing his MANY years of experience😜. 🏐It is also lovely to see how Miss Holly follows granda’s instructions too!
More water this afternoon- I wonder who would be encouraging these antics? Malcolm Adamson
Thank you once again Mrs B for a super Sunday lunch. The
Yesterday, with a dry day forecast, and leaving a sunny Knocknamuckley, we arrived at the campsite in the rain! Spirits were not however dampened, and thankfully during the afternoon it dried up. There was such an improvement that Herbie got his way, and at 7pm, the whole crew enthusiastically headed for Murlough Beach, including, for some their first ‘paddle’ of camp, no doubt while Mr Adamson is here, this will not be their last! 🌊☀️
Everyone is settling in well, perhaps it took a little longer to get to sleep last night, but a great group of young people and a positive start. 🙏☀️☀️☀️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Good morning, I Hope!
We are looking forward to seeing all our happy campers at the hall at 10:15am to head for Tollymore.
Praying for a fine, safe, blessed time
together.
We must always remember that the goodness we receive is from above. Be ever thankful to our Heavenly Father

🎵Yesterday, today, forever, Jesus is the same,
All may change, but Jesus never, glory to His name!🎵
A few more pictures of a very special day. We wish Ellen and Matthew God’s rishest blessing in their marriage.
1 John 4:19
"We love because he first loved us."
Just one request- Let’s not
forget ! 😂😇
We had a very special day yesterday. An important event for Knocknamuckley Girls’ Brigade, when our officer Ellen Mathers got
married to Matthew Murphy in Knocknamuckley Parish Church.
It was a lovely service, with beautiful music. Well done everyone, especially Rebecca Quin on the piano!
Thank you to our guard of honour who greeting Matthew and Ellen, the new
Mr & Mrs Murphy, as they left the church, on quite a blustry afternoon.
The Ice cream was a delicious treat which the girls very much enjoyed! Thank you!
✝Easter Sunday✝
Death could not hold Him
Rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ
Wishing you a blessed and joy filled Easter from all at GBHQ!
Happy Easter!
We serve a risen Savior
He's in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
2
In all the world around me
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
3
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

Keith and Kristyn Getty - The Power of the Cross
Christ became sin for us, took the blame, bore the wrath
We stand forgiven at the cross✝️

✝Good Friday✝
Isaiah 53 v 5
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our inquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed✝
Our International President, Priscilla P. Penny, shares an Easter greeting with the GB family:
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” Philippians 4:4-5
May this Easter season be a reminder of the joy and hope we have in the Lord. Let us reflect His love and kindness in all that we do. As this year we focus on “Making Disciples” and share the gospel of hope and reflect the meaning of the cross in our lives. On behalf of the President’s Committee, I wish our GB family a blessed and joyful Easter filled with the presence of the Lord.
