Dear SCCA family,

With trust in our Lord, I am writing to inform the SCCA family that our school director, friend, and my wife, Janice Henry, passed from this life to heaven in her home with her family by her side. Her passing was unexpected on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from a cancer that came on aggressively earlier in the fall.

She faithfully committed 30 years of her life to helping families educate their children at home. She volunteered as a leader for CHEA, the state home education group, for many years. We are thankful for the impact she made on the SCCA community. Hundreds of children have been brought up by all of you in the ways of the Lord. They are strong Christians and outstanding citizens today.

We will continue to offer homeschooling help if you have any general questions on curriculum, course of study and transcripts. You can contact us through the email of [email protected].

As for the future of SCCA, we will be closing at the end of the 2020/21 academic year and will provide a recommendation for your future home education support.

If you would like to send some kind words and memories you have about Janice, please send them to the email address above. I plan to share some of them with the group.

We will greatly miss Janice, her passion for home education, and her love of helping people.

Blessings to you and your family,

Kirk Henry
