Colorful and intricate mandalas and geometric art inspired by seasons, energies, emotions...you name I find inspiration everywhere. Got a project for me?
I’m an artist and designer, daydreamer and caffeine ju**ie residing in the Chicago suburbs. I have a horrid sense of direction but a fantastic memory for useless facts. If you take a love of museums, philosophy, tattoos, bookstores, forests, cooking, eating, legos, interesting conversation, mandalas, animals, astronomy, stained glass, ancient history, fractals, surrealism, good beer, clouds, stars
Some of my work featuring 🧡orange🧡
Excitement. Vitality. Playfulness. Vibrancy. Fire. Happiness. Optimism. Warmth. Creativity.
Some of my art that is ♥️ Red ♥️
Red is power. Vitality. Strength. Anger. Fire. Danger. Passion. Blood. Dominance. Life force.
Pattern making….more to come soon. ✨
Art vs Artist, 2023.
To be totally transparent, this year has been a struggle. I can’t even be bitter about it. Look at all that’s going on. I understand. Some things are so much bigger than us.
2023 hasn’t been the kindest to artists. But we’re going to keep going. We’re still here. And I’m proud of what I’ve done. ✨
New artwork! Inspired by all of the gorgeous fall colors I saw daily when I was out walking my dog. You know…back in October. Now there’s snow on the ground and everything is decorated for the holidays. This one took a while. It’s what happens when you get obcessed with detail work. 😬
I really wanted to do Inktober this year but when October 5th had already rolled around and I still hadn’t completed a single drawing, I decided I just wasn’t up for a month of self induced stress from constantly trying to catch up on prompts this year. Whomp, whomp. Sometimes you just need to recognize your limits.
In lieu of having any current October drawings, here are some of my favorites from a few years ago.
October 23rds marks the first day of Scorpio season! Scorpio is a fixed water sign, ruled by Mars/Pluto. Ambitious, determined, intuitive, intense and passionate, I have a LOT of people with a LOT of Scorpio energy in my life, and as the sister sign to Ta**us, they are truly one of my favorite signs.
Side note- I have the entire zodiac series, if you’re looking for yours, just ask! 💜
The problem with not posting your art on all of your socials at the same time is that you end up forgetting which ones you posted to. I just realized this one made it to my personal profile but not here…oops. Anyway, here’s “Release,” drawn in Procreate.
You know the times where you have so much built up inside of you that something breaks, and you just ugly cry until there’s nothing left inside of you to give? And theme you just feel…at peace?
We’ve all been there.
It’s been a while since I’ve shared one of these right? I dunno, maybe not. Time’s not even real anyway.
Art vs Artist ✨💜✨
Happy Libra season, and fall Equinox - the equal balancing of light and dark hours and the official start of Autumn for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere!
This image is a love letter to a feeling I struggle to put into words.
It’s more about the anticipation than the event itself. The low vibrating rumble emanating from miles away. The drop in temperature as the breeze dances across your skin. The shift in the light. The way the energy all around you gathers, builds, fills every cell, making you feel giddy, electric, frantic, joyful, ALIVE. In a minute the clouds will break, the torrents of water will come pouring out. But this is the minute to let it pass through you, and just feel EVERYTHING.

Beginning stages of something new….
Late to the party because of who I am as a person, and honestly, been feeling kind of burnt out lately, but enjoy this Leo mandala threedays late for the start of Leo Season! 😬 ♌️
Fox Mandala
Every day after work, I walk my dog. The time varies depending on the time of year and the weather. But every once in a while, when things align just right, we’ll have a streak of days where we encounter the neighborhood foxes. I’ve seen two young foxes playing in a front yard, foxes running across a baseball diamond, and darting across the street. More than once I’ve watched a fox sit at the end of the block and curiously observe my dog, who feels im being very unfair for not letting her go over there.
I always wonder what they think about each other.
“You have pointed ears and a fluffy tail too…but what are you?”
For some reason I always fall into a creative rut in the summer. It’s been that way for YEARS. I don’t know how to explain it, other than (for me) making art is a very introverted, quiet, internal process, and summer feels like the antithesis of that. I’ve been pulling up random interesting reference images to sketch on my phone, just to keep myself busy, and it’s been pretty amusing how much it’s been messing with my social media algorithms.
Old Fibonacci Seahorse drawing for fun, for no other reason than it’s one of my all time favorites.
Happy Solstice friends!!! It’s the first day of Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere when the sun reaches the highest point in the sky and the longest daylight of the year. Soak it up ☀️
I know it’s gone quiet around here for the last week. I was on a much needed vacation in Northern Michigan where I almost completely unplugged from everything… and got engaged! Perfect in every single way.
So in honor of that, here’s a painting that I completed a long time ago, barely a year into our relationship, and knowing back then that I’d found my Forever person.
✨💜✨
“Blue Hour.” Drawn in Procreate.
There’s something ethereal about the Blue Hour. The fleeting window of twilight that exists between the moments the sun disappears below the horizon and before the stars begin to dot the night sky. Liminal space. Quiet space. Neither day or night, here or there, existing between two worlds, somehow both yet neither. Surreal but comfortable, and in a strange way the part of the day that feels the most like Home.
I was looking through my phone for images to post and I remembered a funny incident with these drawings (not so funny at the time - I almost cried.)
They were finished and had been sitting on the kitchen table for a few days. I decided I should relocate them so no one stacked anything on top of them, spilled something, any of the kind of stuff that happens when you have young kids. I had them in my hand, stopped in the kitchen to grab something and got interrupted by something where I had to set them down. In one of those “this would only ever happen to me” incidents, I leaned them up against the wall, somehow they slipped, and fell directly down the crack between the kitchen cabinet and the wall. Where I tried every possible things I could to retrieve them, all futile, they aren’t coming out until those cabinets do.
We don’t live in that house anymore, but I guess whoever lives there now will find a fun surprise if they ever remodel the kitchen. 😭😬😂🙄
I’m sensing a recurring theme… 🐝🐝🐝
Bees are everything, after all. 🖤
“”Rabbits” drawn in Procreate
“Where shall we go today?” asks the first rabbit.
“I know the way,” pipes up the second rabbit.
“Follow me” proclaims the third.
“No, this way” argues the fourth.
And more and more rabbits appear, each trying to speak over the others. They chatter and bicker and gesture toward the way they think you should go. But there are so many questions you cannot know before recklessly diving downward. How deep? How long? How many twists and turns? Where will you resurface, and will you even recognize your surroundings once you do?
🐇
So many rabbits. So many holes.
✨”Contemplation”✨ drawn in Procreate
As an introvert, I’ve always felt most comfortable in the inner spaces, the place where the outside world fall away and the smallest spark of inspiration can be carefully tended until it glows brightly. The place where dreams, wishes, thoughts and ideas are born.
They tell you that the thing that connects people to your art is the *story* behind it. The why, the who the how. And I’ve always had a really difficult time with that, not because there’s no story to be told, but because sometimes the reason we make art is to express intangible feelings that don’t always easily translate into words. Because art feels safer somehow, and words feel exposed, raw, and self-conscious. The funny thing is, I really love to write. What I love less is the awkward feeling of knowing that people are reading my thoughts. But I’m working on that.
Sometimes the story isn’t an actual story, but a fleeting feeling. That moment when life just feels like…MORE. When you get a glimpse of magic, when the intensity and beauty and feeling of wonder feels dialed up and you let yourself be immersed in that feeling for every previous second. Sometimes those moments can be few and far between, but when they do something inside of me takes a mental note that says “THIS. This is the feeling I want to capture.”
Throwback to the phase when I was utterly obcessed with patterns, shapes, geometry, and layers.
There’s something very satisfying about making art where the longer you look, the deeper you’re pulled in. The longer you look, the quieter everything else surrounding you gets. Making art that lets you simultaneously contemplate both everything and nothing.
Find yourself, lose yourself, then find yourself again.
Sometimes Nature tucks her magic into everyday life in the most subtle of ways. Pause, breath deeply, slow down, and let it all slowly come into focus. At first you may wonder if you even saw it at all.
But the more you reflect on it, the more she’ll reveal to you.
I’m thinking of creating some resin coaster sets. Which set options do you like the most?
For those who remain bitterly hopeful, despite everything suggesting we should give in. Who keep on plodding despite knowing it might not work out, who keep our eyes out for the bright spots, and maybe even aim high, give it our best shot, and try to pierce through the darkness ourselves.
In the Tarot there’s a card called The Star. Among other things it symbolizes hope, inspiration, and courage. A beacon of light and unwavering faith after a difficult time. I’ve always had a special affinity for it’s energy. I didn’t realize it until after I completed this, but this peice definitely gives me a bit of Star vibes.
“Aim.” Drawn in Procreate.
Throwback image from years ago…stare for a while. Let your eyes slowly unfocus. Fall in a bit deeper. See where it takes you.

Do you like fun, short art videos? Because there’s another place on the interwebz where you can find me that I create fun, short art videos. I bet you know which one it is…same username as here. ⏰
Here’s a different video (not from that other place) to appease Mr. Al Gore Rythm. 😬
