Thank you for your support.
SC Career Kids it was my pleasure to explain and demonstrate what yoga teachers get to do. It's an excellent idea to expose the kids to multiple types of jobs. I didn't get exposure to other careers until high school. Thanks for all that you are doing to help these brilliant children.
Happy Father's Day! Leo and I appreciate all you do for us! 😘

I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween.
I have always thought of yoga as a dance on my yoga mat. When we dance, we vibe, we stay in our zone, we move our bodies organically, and we are at peace. This awesome yogi showed up and danced (practiced). Courtney Yogi

Daily Reminder
Staying healthy is knowing what's going inside plus movement. Try and find the source of your food so you'll know what's going inside your body. Small steps can go a long way.
Here are some yoga stretches for the neck. These can be done at your desk or sitting on the edge of the couch. Dm if you would like private sessions.
Simple morning movement. When do you like to workout? Let me know below.
Love you to the moon and back! This is one of my favorite poses to incorporate into my classes because it's a powerhouse of benefits and it add variation to your gym lunges.
Yoga props are our friends! They somehow have gotten a "bad rep” as if you use them it makes you less of a yogi or weak. That's incorrect, rather it is quite the opposite. Yoga props can enhance and support your physical yoga practice.
Tight shoulders, hamstrings or hips can prevent even the most seasoned student from experiencing comfort and ease while doing yoga. In efforts to reduce muscular effort and encourage proper alignment, the effective use of yoga props help students of all levels to gain awareness of the yoga postures and receive the benefits of the practice.
During this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to confidently and effectively use yoga props while practicing. We will use blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps, and the wall. We will start this workshop with a gentle movement flow to warm up the body, then breakdown a variety of postures that commonly benefit from the use of props. Concluding with a slow flow using the props.
Namaste' Yoga has props for you to use, however, if you prefer to use your own props, feel free to bring them.

Summer Solstice is approaching! What is Summer Solstice? Well, in the Northern Hemisphere, the June solstice (summer solstice) happens when the Sun is at its highest and northernmost points in the sky. It marks the beginning of summer in the northern half of the world. However, the June solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky, making the start of winter.
The word “solstice” in Latin solstitium—from sol (Sun) and stitium (still or stopped).
This is normally when yogis all the world set time aside to embrace the sun and new beginnings. I would like to encourage you to participate as well.
Let's make it a week long celebration. This is what I have in mind:
Each day choose one of the suggestions from the flyer, take a picture of you doing the activity, post it or tag me on any of my social media platforms (Delisa Simpson Yoga). I hope to encourage others to move their bodies, take time for themselves, and enjoy loved ones.
I'll start posting Monday.

Yes! It's all about you with private yoga sessions.
1. Researching all the possible variations to help you get into poses. With and without props.
2. Remembering the muscles that need to be stretched. I have data to support the percentage of which muscles used.
3. Actually doing the session
4. Creating online homework to review the session.
5. Observe and assess movement.

Supta Baddhakinasana
“Supta” — meaning “reclining”
“Baddha” — meaning “bound”
“Kona” — meaning “angle”
“Asana” — meaning “pose”
Supta Baddhakonasana can help relieves the contracted or heavy sensation often felt after over-eating, and can help relieve menstrual cramps. This pose is very relaxing, it helps move us into the “rest and digest” (parasympathetic) side of our autonomic nervous system, which stimulates digestion.
This pose stretches the groin and inner thigh muscles, improving blood flow to the pelvis. Opening up the chest, allowing for deeper breathing and improved oxygen flow — this is particularly can be beneficial for those with asthma and heart disease.
‐---------------❓️❓️❓️---------------
This one of my favorite ways to end my class or if I have been sitting a lot.
Have you tried this pose? Are you a fan?
“There is always music amongst the trees in the garden, but our hearts must be very quiet to hear it.”
― Minnie Aumonier

Self care isn't selfish, it's necessary! This weekend I invite you to get quiet so you can hear!
Tree Pose Benefits
🌳 Tree pose can help stretch and strengthen the ligaments and tendons in your feet.
🌳Tree pose requires proper weight distribution and posture, which can help provide stability to your groin, thighs, hips, and pelvis.
