Warner Brothers, HBO, & DC Studios provided audiences at San Diego Comic-Con with the newest look at the Max Original Series "The Penguin" which picks up shortly after the events of 2022's "The Batman". Director of "The Batman" Matt Reeves has returned to pen the story of Oswald Cobblepot and his rise to power in Gotham, but will audiences be sucked into the Mob show in a Comic world or will they just wish that we had waited to return to Reeves' version of Gotham in "The Batman Part II"?

Deadpool & Wolverine Review

Wade Wilson makes his triumphant entrance into the MCU but he isn't coming to the party alone as he is bringing none other than Logan aka James Howlett aka WOLVERINE! Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star in Marvel's only film entry into the MCU this year "Deadpool & Wolverine" directed by Shawn Levy (The Adam Project, Stranger Things).

Jackman returns to the role that made him a household name after stepping away from the character in 2017, but could he be 7 years too late? How does this film fit into the overall scope of the MCU? Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F Review

Eddie Murphy is BACK as Detective Axel Foley in the long-awaited 4th installment in the Beverly Hills Cop franchise. After years in development hell the sequel which takes place 30 years after we last saw everyone's favorite Detroit detective Axel Foley is back in Beverly Hills as a concerned friend and father as longtime friend Billy Rosewood goes missing following bringing in Axel's daughter Jane in to help on his latest case.

Can franchise additions Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon bring freshness to the series alongside franchise veterans such as Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, and Paul Reiser? Or will "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" feel like a betrayal to audiences as the poorly received "Coming 2 America", Murphy's last attempt to recapture his 80's glory?

Kinds of Kindness Review
Yorgos Lanthimos teams up with recent Academy Award Winner and frequent collaborator Emma Stone along with Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qually, Hon Chau, and Willen Dafoe for Kinds of Kindness. A dark comedy comprised of three short films covering the lengths we will go to feel love.

Can this film drum up the type of awards buzz that his most recent release Poor Things did in 2023 or will Lanthimos' audience feel as if the director has finally told a story that has left them unsure what to think as they leave the theater?

The Bad Boys are back...and we didn't have to wait over half a decade this time! Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back as Detectives Burnett and Lowery in the second installment of the franchise directed by Adil & Bilall who revived the long-dormant series in 20202 after taking over for Michael Bay.

This is also Smith's first major appearance since his infamous slap during the Academy Awards, will he and Lawrence be able to capture the magic again in a story that finds our heroes on the run or will audiences wish the bad boys just rode off into the sunset on a high note that was their last film?

After years of only exploring stories within the timeline of the nine sag films, Star Wars has taken its first steps into exploring other periods in time of the galaxy's expansive history with "The Acolyte". Set 100 years prior to the events of "The Phantom Menace" the new series tells a story of revenge and mystery when a mysterious assassin begins to hunt down Jedi connected to their past.

From showrunner Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) can this series successfully bring the general audience into the era of the high republic while also establishing another group of characters that the fandom can latch onto and love? Can this talented cast that includes the likes of Amandla Stenberg, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, & Lee Jung-Jae bring such a compelling story to life? Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Review

After 7 years fans can finally return to the Planet of the Apes franchise and after a critically acclaimed trilogy of films directed by Rupert Everett and Matt Reeves showing how the Planet of the Apes came to be fans will finally see what this ape-run world looks like.

One obstacle that the film may face however as Andy Serkis is no longer leading the way as Caesar. the new film follows a young ape many generations after Caesar's time named Noa. How will our new lead fare, can ape and man finally live together, and are apes still living by the beliefs Caesar held so dear? All of that and more is covered in this review. Fan Expo Cleveland 2024

It's that time of year again when the boys go full geek and cover Fan Expo Cleveland! This year's convention featured the likes of Sam Raimi, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, and so many others in a weekend that reunited the four hobbits from the beloved "Lord of the Rings" Trilogy as well as bringing fresh faces like Eman Esfandi, Roger Clark, Danny Trejo, Matthew Lewis and so many others to the shores of Lake Erie.

After reviving the franchise in 2021 with a generally well-received legacy sequel in "Ghostbusters Afterlife" the Ghostbusters are back with "Ghostbusters Frozen Empire".

Back in the Big Apple, can the team be stopped by a familiar political foe and a new spectral one? That and questions of identity plague the new team and some of the establishing members of the Ghostbusters in this sequel.

Mean Girls (2024) Review

In today's day and age, so many beloved films are rebooted in an attempt to recapture the audiences' love for a film...this isn't that. Mean Girls is an adaptation of the hit Broadway musical based on the 2004 film of the same name.

Coming along for the journey however in a similar fashion to the film adaptation of Rent is the original Mean Girl and star of Broadway's Mean Girls Reneé Rapp as Regina George.

Studio Ghibli films have created numerous masterpieces over the decades under the steady hand of Hayao Miyazaki. In the latest film from the animated master comes a more personal tale that at one point was supposed to be his final film.
