Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness and fever with it."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6011

Our hearts have been aching for 6 months, but it is NOTHING compared to what our brother & sisters in Palestine have been facing.

Eid is a gift from Allah and a time of celebration, it requires humility & shukr along with remembering those who can't through dua and everything else we can do in different ways to support & show solidarity.

From Kufiya to Palestinian embroidered embelishments and flags to henna. DM us your picture & post using and we will share in our stories.

The ‘Eid is a time for celebration and fun, but we must make sure that we do not fall into the displeasure of Allāh during it. Here are the proper actions and etiquettes for the ‘Eid, derived from the Sunnah:

1 – Taking a ghusl (shower) before the ‘Eid prayer

It was narrated in a saheeh hadeeth in al-Muwatta’ that ‘Abd-Allāh ibn ‘Umar used to take a ghusl on the day of al-Fitr before going out to the prayer-place in the morning.

2 – Eating before going out to pray on ‘Eid al-Fitr.

It is best that one does not go out to the prayer until they have eaten a few dates. In a hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhāri from Anas ibn Mālik, who said, “The Messenger of Allāh (sal Allāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) did not go out on the morning of ‘Eid al-Fitr until he had eaten some dates… of which he would eat an odd number.” (Bukhari).

3 – Takbeer on the day of ‘Eid
“Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar la ilaha illa-Allah, wa Allahu akbar, Allah akbar, wa Lillah il-hamd (Allah is Most Great, Allah is most Great, Allah is most Great there is no god but Allah, Allah is Most great, Allah is most great, and to Allah be praise)

4 – How should we give greetings on the ‘Eid?

The wording does not matter, but what is best is:

“TaqabbalAllāh minna wa minkum (May Allāh accept (the good deeds) from us and from you” or “‘Eid mubārak”

5 – We should wear our nicest clothing on the ‘Eid.

6 – We should go to the mosque by one route and return by another.

**Guiding Children to Embrace the Essence of Al-'Adheem**

1. **Cultivate Awe and Respect**: Explain to your children that Al-'Adheem, The Magnificent, is the greatest and most powerful. Use creation's vastness, from the vast universe to the intricate details of a leaf, as examples of His greatness. Encourage them to look at the world with wonder and respect for the Creator.

2. **Encourage Daily Dhikr**: Teach them the simple yet profound phrases: "Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allahil-'Adheem." Explain the weight these words carry and encourage them to recite them daily, embedding the remembrance of Al-'Adheem in their hearts.

3. **Teach Dependence on Allah Alone**: Share stories from the Qur'an and the Prophets' lives that illustrate relying on Allah's strength in difficult times. This will help them understand that no matter the situation, Al-'Adheem is always sufficient and capable of helping us.

4. **Instill God-Consciousness**: Emphasize that fearing anyone but Allah does not befit a believer. Use age-appropriate examples to explain how fearing Al-'Adheem can protect us from wrongdoing and give us the courage to do what's right.

5. **Memorize and Reflect on Ayatul Kursi**: Make it a family routine to recite Ayatul Kursi together after each prayer and before bedtime, discussing its meanings and the greatness of Al-'Adheem. Highlight that this verse contains the greatest name of Allah and promises His protection.

6. **Embrace Humility in Prayer**: Explain the significance of bowing (ruku') in prayer, where we acknowledge Al-'Adheem's grandeur. Encourage them to deepen their ruku' with personal supplications and the recommended dhikr, feeling the humility and magnificence of bowing before The Supreme.

7. **Nurture Generosity and Kindness**: Link the concept of being 'magnificent' in character to Al-'Adheem's attributes. Encourage acts of kindness and generosity, teaching them that these qualities are beloved to Allah and reflect His magnificence in human behavior.

1. **Instill the Awareness of Al-Baatin**: Teach your children that even though we cannot see Allah, He is Al-Baatin, the One who knows everything about us—our thoughts, feelings, and the secrets we hold. Encourage them to feel comforted and understood by Al-Baatin, especially in moments of solitude or confusion.

2. **Encourage Sincere Intentions**: Explain to your children the importance of having pure intentions in all actions, emphasizing that Al-Baatin knows what lies in our hearts. Use age-appropriate examples to illustrate how actions done for show differ from those done for Allah's sake.

3. **Cultivate Appreciation for Creation**: Engage your children in observing the natural world and the universe around them as signs of Al-Baatin's existence and majesty. This can be as simple as looking at the stars, appreciating the complexity of a flower, or marveling at the human body's intricacies.

4. **Teach the Value of Privacy**: Help your children understand the importance of keeping certain matters private, in line with the attribute of Al-Baatin. This includes not boasting about good deeds or exposing others' faults unnecessarily.

5. **Foster a Relationship with Allah in Solitude**: Encourage your children to talk to Allah during private moments, teaching them simple du'as and prayers that they can say when they're alone, reassuring them that Al-Baatin is always listening and ready to respond.

6. **Reflect on Quranic Stories**: Share stories from the Quran where Allah's hidden knowledge and wisdom are evident, such as the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and Al-Khidr. Discuss the lessons learned and how they apply to trusting in Al-Baatin's wisdom, even when things are not clear to us.

1. **Cultivate Trust in Al-Kaafi**: Begin teaching your children about Al-Kaafi by sharing stories from the Quran and Hadith that highlight how Allah is sufficient for us in every situation. Use stories of prophets and companions to illustrate how trusting in Allah provided them with the best outcomes. Encourage discussions on how they can place their trust in Al-Kaafi in their own lives.

2. **Fostering Contentment**: Teach your children to be content with what they have, explaining that Al-Kaafi provides us with everything we need. Encourage them to express gratitude for their blessings, big or small, and to understand that happiness doesn't come from having more but from appreciating what Allah has provided.

3. **Dealing with Fears and Anxieties**: Remind your children that when they feel afraid or anxious, they can turn to Al-Kaafi for comfort and support. Teach them simple du'as or prayers that invoke Allah's name Al-Kaafi, reinforcing the idea that Allah is always there to take care of their needs.

4. **Encouraging Generosity**: Explain to your children that because Allah is Al-Kaafi, we can be generous to others without fear of losing our wealth or resources. Involve them in acts of charity, such as donating toys or clothes, to help them practice generosity and understand that Allah rewards those who give in His cause.

5. **Modeling Dependence on Allah**: Demonstrate through your own actions how to depend on Allah in daily life. Share personal experiences where you relied on Allah as Al-Kaafi and saw positive outcomes. This not only strengthens their faith but also teaches them to turn to Allah in their own lives.

6. **Instilling Patience**: Teach your children the value of patience and waiting for Allah's help. Share stories where patience was rewarded, emphasizing that Allah, Al-Kaafi, is sufficient and His timing is perfect.
