Bringing attention to threatened species and wildlands through affordable and functional art.
When you get to spend a morning picking 100 sunflowers for a fundraiser you end up following the bees, grasshoppers, butterflies, toads, and dragonflies around. thank you 🙏🏻🌻
Taking a break for nature. ✔️
Getting out of cell reception these days is a total gift and something I don’t get to do often.
Anyone else feel like throwing (recycling) all of your gagets away?
Happy National Dog day to my bed hog, childhood stuffed bear hugging, harmonica howling, snow romping, flower sniffing, bunny hunting (no bunnies are ever hurt) peanut butter and ice cream loving girl. You make my heart sing. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

These evenings all I want to do is play music. 🎶 Finally singing with my sister - not sure why it took us so long (three kids and two companies later).
I’m a big believer that the things that are meant for you, won’t pass you by…..but, might take longer than you’d hope and you might need a bit more patience. 😉
Yesterday was World Elephant Day.
I painted these elephants in 2019 to bring attention to the horrifying reality for this gentle being.
While some Elephant populations are stable, poaching, human-wildlife conflict and habitat destruction continue to threaten the species. On top of this, many elephants are taken from their families only to be kept in slavery for financial benefit of humans.
There are days when it feels like too much and yesterday was one of them. Sometimes I wonder if bringing attention to threatened species through my art is enough….and I don’t think it is. But focusing on the message and partnering with organizations doing the work are the tiny baby steps that could matter if others join me.
That is why we are doing a big push to get ambassadors to help us spread these important messages. It’s too heartbreaking to do alone. Will you help me?? We need to be a louder voice.
Calling all animal lovers, environmental lawyers, wildlife veterinarians, biologists, artists, film makers, hikers, bikers, surfers, lovers of the oceans and the wild, mamas, aunts, papas and uncles. We are looking for YOU to help us raise awareness, raise money, and change outdated policies.

I love it when I see friends wearing my hats out in the wild!! (Location- general area - San Juans Mountains, Colorado)
Looks like I need to take a road trip and hike this section. 😍😍
Family photo!
This time last year ❤️❤️❤️
How is it already August??? 🫣
Happppppppiest Birthday to one of my favorite sales reps.
This woman wears my hats more than I do. 🥰
She has been the bedrock of our growth and is the first person I call for her wisdom. I can not imagine running this brand without her.
She is grounded, wise, gentle, funny, supportive, strong, wicked smart, an amazing friend, partner mother, and so very loving.
Anyone who knows her is lucky to have her in their lives.
Please wish her a happy birthday!!! 🎈
This sweet baby dragonfly came for a visit yesterday.
There are plenty of times people ask if I have a dragonfly hat - I don’t - because it reminds them of their grandmother, mother or aunt.
Ironically, it landed next to a ring I made with my mom that merges stones and metals from my two grandmothers, great grandmother, great aunt, and my mom.
I guess it’s time to work on a dragonfly.
Did you know the dragon fly symbolizes change and transformation?
Yesterday I read a moving article in the which quoted . “You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you.”
I am a believer in change. I am tired of seeing the same white men lead this country (except for ) so it’s not shocking that I will be voting for in honor of our (women’s) right to vote - which shockingly only happened almost exactly 105 years ago last week.
In honor of all of the women before me, and all of the women and girls today and after who shouldn’t have to say, “I am speaking” when it’s obvious they are, or fight for full rights over how they live their lives and how they manage their bodies.
We need to show young girls that a thoughtful, bold, woman who has healthy boundaries, and a strong voice can lead so they know they too can lead.
We need to continue to use our voices, minds, and hearts to create a world rooted in equality, peace, understanding, and love and we can not do that if we vote for humans who divide, hate, control, and manipulate.
Our definition of “twinning”.
Two friends - or family members - who both love wearing hats that have paintings of wildlands and threatened species on them and who use their heads and voices for the wild. ✔️✔️🏜️🦒
From Seattle to Lyons I’m surrounded by artists, musicians, dreamers, doers, and activists. Lucky me. 🍀 .bluegrass
When you have already finalized inventory for 2025 but then you get your hands on a high resolution scan of one of your paintings…..so….you mock up one more. 🤪
I believe you can never have too much green or turquoise.
Can you have too much pink?
Sometimes I get up extra early to go hiking on weekday mornings because there are less people on the trails and season is short and if not now, when.
Alpine like swimming, waterfalls, snow melt and wild flowers…it’s always worth it. 🌸
Happy 4th Birthday - a day late because she was out living her best life- to this bouncy girl!
Did you know that two days before we met her I said out loud, “ I think I’m ready for another dog” and then we saw a license plate that said, “Athena Two”.
Then she landed on our doorstep by a friend who had just picked her up to foster her and it was love at first sight.
This super smart, snuggle bug, best hiking and travel buddy, lover of ice cream and water melon and all people, dogs, horses and donkeys, is my absolute favorite. I never take a moment with her for granted.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
This day -nine years ago- I was in Turkey.🇹🇷
I’m feeling a travel itch these days.
This sure feels like my happy place. 🥰
✔️
Grateful for these moments out in the wild.
Wild Lilies.
I didn’t have time to scan this piece but it did make it to the gallery in time. 🌸🌸🙏🏻🙏🏻
Five years ago today I said good bye to my best buddy. I think about her all the time- my soul pup, Athena. If you know, you know. 💔❤️
I think that’s why Rosie gets as many hikes, snuggles, and treats as she does and why I take her everywhere I go.
They are only here a short while and it’s amazing we can love them as much as we can knowing our time is limited. There is great wisdom in that lesson. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Per usual my favorite mountain town did not disappoint. Wild flower season is upon us and I’m gathering info and extra hours of hiking for future paintings. 😍😍
It’s World Giraffe Day!
The tallest mammal in the world which is also peaceful, and herbivorous (they only eat plants) is one of the most hunted animals. 💔
Fragmentation, habitat loss and illegal poaching critically threaten three species of the giraffe, Kordofan, Nubian, and Reticulated giraffe.
They are poached for their meat, pelts, bones, tail, and hair.
What if you were hunted for your beauty? Would you try and run from it?
That is exactly what this giraffe is doing in this painting, it is fleeing from the beautiful spots on its pelt.
Today please take time to learn more about giraffes situations and or donate to one of the below organizations. 🩷🩷🩷🦒🦒🦒

Slowly coming back online after a week on the San Juan river with good friends. A week of painting on a raft, under the orange and pink glow of ancient rock, fossil hunting, mud rolling, cliff diving, cave exploring, falling asleep to toads and crickets, and waking to shooting stars, and sunrises. No technology, no work. Only the flow of the river, being in nature, and connecting with those you love. We barely saw another soul on our trip. ✨
So very grateful for the time in this buzzzzzzing season! 🐝 🙏🏻
I know, we don’t make this easy. 😍💪🏽
Well that was fun!
A couple of quick shots when we weren’t slammed - which was about never.
I’m feeling the love today Denver! Running this company - and wearing so many hats (literally) - can be exhausting, but the enthusiasm expressed today keeps me going! THANK YOU. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
