Blue Line Jeepers
An off road community composed of current and retired LEO's
Local Jeepers interested in doing Jeep Beach this year….
I’m looking at signing up to do this, but the minimum number to qualify as a club is 4 spots.
Spots are $25 IN ADDITION to the Jeep Beach registration.
Perks:
1. Club row is only accessible to those with club row credentials.
2. You get an assigned spot with your club, so you can set up tents, chairs, etc.
3. You can come go as you please to enjoy the infield activities.
4. And this is what makes it worth the money. You get an extra day (Thursday) to run the courses.
Let me know if you’re interested!
I watched the live reveal of the ‘24 Gladiator today.
Meh.
Yeah, that’s about all I can muster up.
They brought out a High Velocity (think yellow highlighter) Rubicon, a Hydro Blue Rubicon and a black Willys.
Jim Morrison usually does a great job at these but he seemed to stumble over his words…a lot. He also talked about the Jeep community and said “you spoke and we listened”.
Did you?
The only thing that’s new is the grill and a slight change to the dash. Yeah some added safety like the air curtains and standard enhanced safety package in upper models ($$$$).
But, still no 392, no Extreme Recon package, no mention of the full float rear axle that the Wrangler is getting and no mention of a 4XE version.
The thing that got my interest up was the addition of Trails Offroad to the UConnect. Really cool feature that has a bunch of trails, including all of the Badge of Honor Trails, pre-loaded. But, this requires a $40 a month subscription AND you can get the app on your phone, so you don’t need a ‘24 to get the app.
The Willys they brought out had a factory installed AEV package including lift, bumper, wheels and 33’s. If you know AEV, they ain’t cheap. And you only get 33’s. AND they kept the Sport flares, not the high line Rubicon flares. The Extreme Recon with 35’s and bead lock (or bead lock ready) wheels would fit better as an option.
So, yeah, long story short, The Mullet is still looking like my forever Jeep.
Cheers, y’all.
I just sent out a mess of invites for a new group since FB won’t let me change the name of this one. If you get the request, please come on over to it
