I would like to voice my protest over the Hawkeye and UT marching bands not being allowed to play during the halftime game of the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl! This is a COLLEGE Bowl Game and not a professional bowl game. As such the team's bands should be the ones highlighted. While Gavin DeGraw is a fine musician he should not be the highlight of the musical experience during halftime. Perhaps he could play the pregame? That would extend the times that fans would be in their seats which would likely increase concession stand sales for the organization. What say you Cheez-It Citrus Bowl ? May I suggest you all teach out to the organization and express your concerns? I know both bands will have worked incredibly hard this year and deserve to be seen during halftime rather than the pregame slot into which they've been placed!
