FRC Team 702 Bagel Bytes
We are the Culver City High School FIRST Robotics Team 702 "Bagel Bytes." Rookie Season: 2001
Originally founded by a local bagel company, we would give out free bagels at competition and thus the name "Bagel Bytes" was born. Culver City High School FIRST Robotics Team 702 is a team of Students and Professional Engineers who annually work together to build a robot for the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. CCHS Robotics Team Robot to Throw Out the First Pitch at Dodger Stadium
On Thursday afternoon, prior to the game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants, fans at Dodger Stadium will witness a unique event – the ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by a robot!
The robot, designed by the Culver City High School Robotics Team with some help from another high school team, will throw out the first pitch prior to the 1:10 p.m. start.
Robotics Coach Craig Singer said students will join three other robotics teams in a STEM event that begins at 9 a.m. that day sponsored by the Dodgers and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The students will then attend the game; and one student will accompany the team's robot as it tosses the ball from the mound to the plate.
Great build day yesterday!
