Registration is now open for the March 2024 SJCC in Washington, D.C.! The tournament is open to Juniors and Cadets in all three weapons!

Note: Because of space limitations within the venue and to help provide a positive experience for all participants, we will be instituting a registration cap for events at the SJCC. Because of this, we encourage fencers to register as soon as possible to secure their spot. Waitlists will be offered, should any of the events fill, so that fencers can reserve their place if a spot opens up.

2023 The Southern RYC/RJCC/ROC (VET/D1A/DV2/TEAM) - USA Fencing This tournament is open to all regions of USA Fencing. Additionally, International fencers and FIE Federations are encouraged and invited to compete.

The Referee training scheduled for December 9th will be postponed until the Spring. Stay tuned.

It was good to have the October NAC held locally within Central Florida boundaries last weekend. Congratulations to all those Central Florida fencers who competed alongside Olympians and World Champions. Special kudos to those who were awarded national points and to Michael Mizrahi who made the podium in Div2 Men’s Epee with an 8th place finish.

Driving to the event? Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find parking and make your way to the competition halls! With multiple other events happening in the building, spots in the closest lots may go quickly. Rates are variable. For reference, the closest lot will be the West Building Lot.

Parking | Orange County Convention Center Parking at the Orange County Convention Center is convenient and easy. Daily and short term parking is available. Parking lots are located at the West concourse, North concourse, South concourse, and Destination Parkway.

Ever wanted to try parafencing? Now's your chance! USA Fencing is hosting a Parafencing Clinic as a part of our October NAC in Orlando.

The clinic will be held Friday, Oct. 27, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Orange County Convention Center (West Concourse). The clinic will take place in the “Para Pod,” and someone at the USA Fencing registration desk inside the convention center can provide you with directions there upon your arrival.

Our Team USA Parafencing Head Coach, Julio Diaz, will be there to introduce the sport to athletes and coach them through trying it out for themselves! Coaches, adaptive sport professionals, and others are welcome to come as well and learn more about the sport, the equipment and participation opportunities.

In case you missed it, Central Florida division's own Georgina Love qualified for the Veteran Worlds event held last week in Daytona Beach by winning bronze medals in both the Vet60 Women's Epee and Vet 60 Women's Foil events at USA Fencing's Summer Nationals back in July. She represented the USA well last week finishing top 10 in both events. This week she was interviewed by WMFE's Joe Barnes where she shared that her fencing career began in her 40's. Her experience demonstrates that fencing is for all ages and one does not have to start as a youth fencer to reap the benefits of this dynamic sport. Georgina, you are an inspiration. Fence on!

'Veteran' fencers, like Georgina Love, stay sharp as they get older Love lives in Fort Pierce and runs the Treasure Coast Fencing Club. She drives up the coast once a week to train in Melbourne.

The event is the first International Fencing Federation (FIE) event held in the United States in more than four years and the first ever in .
