And I get it sounds like a lot- but below are some simple tips to help you take care of these foundations daily.

Tip #1. When you get up immediately take a few moments to express gratitude and or pray. You can write it down, follow a journal prompt or just simply say it in your head. Doing this each morning will shift your mindset to a calm, thankful place instead of a โ€œtake/consumeโ€ mentality. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝโœจ

Tip #2

As soon as you get up- consume 1-2 glasses of water. We just came from a faster state plus our Glymphatic system drains toxins while we sleep. When we consume water first thing- we are essentially helping our bodies flush those toxins out! ๐Ÿ’ง๐Ÿ’ง

Tip #3
Each new week plan out your workouts or movements for the week. Take a look at your schedule and write down which days you can fit in workouts and or some type of movement-like mid day walks. If you schedule it- the more likely it is to happen. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Tip #4
Set a reminder or alarm on your phone to check in with friends and family during the week. This sounds silly, but we all have a lot going on and staying connected to friends and family is huge for our health. Relationships and community is key! ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ

Tip # 5
Commit to getting 7+ hours of sleep every night. I know this is a tough one for most of us ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ But, our Glymphatic system only works while we sleep- so itโ€™s super important to get that REM sleep in!!

Tip #6

Find creative and fun ways to manage your stress. Is it getting a massage, meditation, deep breathing, journaling, coloring, listening to a podcast, cooking, baking, exercising etc... the list goes on and on. โ€”โ€”>The most important thing is to find ways to manage your stress. For me- some days itโ€™s listening to 528 or 432 hrz music while journaling or doing a HIIT workout. Each day is unique- just find a few things that work well for you!! โค๏ธ

All too often clients are told that โ€œnothing is wrongโ€ and they are fine. ๐Ÿคฏ

But, how can someone be fine when they have chronic insomnia, missing periods, irritability and anxiety, heart palpitations, mood swings, no s*x drive, acne, weight gain, intolerance to exercise and low self esteem??? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

How do I know?

Because they were all mine. I suffered for 3 years with all of the above and some.

I went to countless Drs- spent close to $10,000 on tests, supplements and holistic practices to get relief and find answers.

What did I get???

A whole lotta nothing. Yes I had some temporary relief and I did get my period back- but no one could tell me what was going on and why I was experiencing all these issues.

This is a question I get A LOT!!!

โ€œWhat foods should I avoid if I suspect parasites?โ€

Answer.... parasites thrive off of anything and everything youโ€™re eating.๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ›

But....there are 3 specific foods that I would avoid if you suspect and or if you are doing a parasite cleanse.

First up is SUGAR! ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿง๐Ÿฅง๐Ÿฆ

Processed, natural, liquid- whatever form of sugar it is- parasites love it! ๐Ÿ›โค๏ธ

Parasites feed off of sugar. They use sugar as their primary source of energy and cannot survive without a steady supply. If their energy source is removed- they wonโ€™t be able to reproduce. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผSo, do your best to stay away from processed, added and sneaky sugary foods/drinks.

Think granolas, dried fruit, non dairy milks (usually have sugar added), juices, applesauce, smoothies etc..

# 2 Sushi/raw fish

This one is pretty obvious as sushi and raw fish can be a common source of parasites. Be sure to keep this out while youโ€™re doing a cleanse ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฑ

#3 Pork
Undercooked pork can be another common source of parasites. ๐Ÿท

Worm larvae can pass through the bloodstream of the pig and become trapped in the muscle- which you then eat and become infected.

So steer clear of pork ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ–

Of course I have other basic recommendations like: ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

-make sure you are drinking filtered water
-thoroughly wash your produce prior to consuming
-wash your hands when you leave the bathroom
-donโ€™t sit on a public toilet

You know the basics ๐Ÿ˜‰

So what foods should you be eating instead?? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

-grass fed meats and pasture raised eggs
-coconut oil- which is anti parasitic
-reishi mushroom- huge anti parasitic, anti microbial and anti bacterial
-herbs like garlic, rosemary, thyme, ginger, oregano, turmeric and green onion- all of which have anti parasitic effects!
-pumpkin and sunflower seeds - both anti parasitic

As always, if you want to fully learn more about your parasite risk-lab work and functional signs and symptoms tests are the way to go. ๐Ÿ›๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

P**p!! ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ yโ€™all I love talking about p**p-it truly makes me so happy!!

So many of us have no idea what our p**p is doing- we just sit down, wipe and flush without giving it a second thought. ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿงป๐Ÿšฝ

But....whatโ€™s happening down there?! ๐Ÿง

The color, shape, size and smell of your p**p can give such good insight as to what is going on inside the body.

P**ping is normal and everyone does it- most people not enough๐Ÿšฝ

My standard recommendation is to p**p at least 2x a day. If youโ€™re doing a pathogen eradication protocol, then it should be 3x or more. ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’

P**ping/the colon is the very FIRST part of the drainage pathway that you need to open.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ So, if youโ€™re not p**ping 2x a day- then toxins, bacteria and other harmful chemicals are re-circulating through the body, reabsorbing and wreaking havoc.

So, what can you do?

Let me say this loud and clear- detoxing and drainage are two very different things!!

Iโ€™m sure the majority of us are familiar with detoxing and how it works in the body.

But- what about drainage? No one is talking about this process.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผDrainage is simply how well the body processes and moves toxins/ fluids out of the body.

This process happens 24/7- by your 7 drainage systems ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

The Brain Glymphatic System
The Lymphatic system
The Skin
The lungs
The kidneys
The liver/bile duct
The colon

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผDetoxing- is grabbing onto chemicals and toxins and pulling them out of the body.

Detoxing focuses on specific pathogens in the body to be removed ie- mold, parasites, heavy metals, Lyme etc.

๐Ÿ“ฃDetoxing should NOT happen before opening the drainage pathways.

This is super duper important!!!
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

If the drainage pathways are not open and clear -those toxins and chemicals you are attempting to pull out will get stuck along the drainage track๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ Only to be reabsorbed and recirculate throughout the body.

When this happens- it is very common for a herx reaction to occur. Meaning youโ€™re gonna feel like ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ from all those pathogens floating around getting reabsorbed.

Herx reactions can look very much like the flu- nausea, digestive issues, fever, headaches, insomnia etc...

Needless to say itโ€™s not pretty and definitely not worth it. ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป

๐Ÿฆ The lesson here- donโ€™t rush into detoxing.

Truth be told- we are all born with a toxicity bucket. ๐Ÿฆ 

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผYup each and every one of us has our own toxicity bucket at birth.

Factors that impact our birth toxicity buckets are based on our mothers pregnancy, her health, her toxicity bucket, her stress levels, her sleep, her diet, your fathers health, his toxicity bucket etc . ๐Ÿคฐ๐Ÿฝ

Each one of those- impacts your toxicity bucket at birth. Then after birth- your own experiences and circumstances start to fill it up. โ›ฝ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผDrainage always before detox!!!!

Drainage aka opening up the colon, liver/gallbladder, kidneys, lungs, skin, brain and lymphatic pathways is ESSENTIAL before โ€œdetoxing.โ€

Drainage pathways are the bodies built in cleaning system. Constantly removing toxins, pathogens, waste and cellular debris 24-7! ๐Ÿงน

Think of these pathways as a funnel- one pathway drains down to the one below and so on and so forth -until they get to the colon where everything is eliminated.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผHowever, if there is blockage or stagnation at any point along the funnel- the above pathways become blocked and everything up stream is unable to properly drain.

When drainage is not addressed prior to doing a detox protocol- the toxins released begin to backup, recirculate and reabsorb throughout the body. Causing a herx reaction/feeling really sh*tty ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ’ฉ

Far too often- we blame our genes for being dealt a โ€œbad hand.โ€

But, that is entirely not true.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWe need to stop โ€œblamingโ€ our genetics for things that happen to our bodies. We need to assume responsibility and take control.

Your genes are simply that- genes. They created you- but they DO NOT control you and they DO NOT have final say over your life.

So what does have the final say over our genes?

Epigentics!
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ
Epigentics is all about how your behavior/choices and the environment impact and alter your genes.

How?

Your genes can be turned on and off a whole host of reasons. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผChemicals in your home, products you put on your skin, the food/drinks you consume, your sleep habits, your stress levels, where you work, exercise habits, mold exposure- etc etc etc

And while these lifestyle choices cover a multitude of situations and habits- these DNA changes are reversible!!!

โšก๏ธEat organic/grass fed/wild caught when possible

Food is a major factor in managing gene expression.

โšก๏ธExercise/move your body daily

Stagnation breads disease. Aim to move 30 min daily!!

โšก๏ธGratitude/meditation

Both are excellent at helping manage stress and reframe your mindset. Coming from a place of love and grace will reduce inflammation, calm the nerves and begin to rewire the brain.

This one seems obvious- as both are highly toxic to the body.

Stress and trauma manifest in the body and physically stay within the cells.

Are you thirsty all the time!? Peeing like a race horse all day? ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿผ you need to add salt to your water! ๐Ÿ’ง

Yup! Itโ€™s true ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿ’งWater depends on electrolytes for proper absorption into the cells. Without electrolytes- water just flows around the cells missing the absorption into the cell all together.

๐Ÿ’งThis can cause you to urinate frequently, daily headaches, cramping, fatigue, anxiety, irritability and just feeling thirsty AF. ๐Ÿฅต

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผSodium is both an electrolyte and a mineral and it is highly effective in balancing the amount of water inside and outside of the cells.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผWithout proper sodium levels-there will be too much water floating outside the cells instead of inside. Again- leading to all those feelings of dehydration/frequent urination.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผUnrefined sea salt, Celtic sea salt, Himalayan sea salt, volcanic sea salt and my personal favorite real salt are some excellent options to add your water daily.

Well- these are them

However, parasitic infections are the MOST common cause with elevated eosinophils.

๐Ÿ’‰Basophils- play an important role in inflammation and also confirm a parasitic infection

So what is Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis?

When interpreting blood chemistry there are two main types of ranges.
The Pathological Range= used to diagnose disease
The Functional Range= used to asses risk for disease before the disease develops.

The Functional ranges help the practitioner get to the root cause of your health issues.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผFor example.... markers such as ferritin, basophils and eosinophils can reveal parasites are present in the body.

-Pears
-Tomatoes
-Celery
-Potatoes

Others to watch- Hot peppers and raisins

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผThe โ€œClean fifteenโ€ have the least amount of pesticides. ๐Ÿค—

-Avocados
-Sweet Corn

-Sweet Peas

So, naturally when clients ask me about buying organic produce- I always encourage them to purchase the โ€œDirty Dozenโ€ items as organic.

The โ€œClean Fifteenโ€ you can usually get away with purchasing non organic or frozen organic.

Yโ€™all- how are you feeling after the full moon? ๐Ÿคช

The insomnia was real last night! ๐Ÿ˜ด

So- one of the biggest questions I get is โ€œhow do I know if I have parasites?โ€

Truthfully there are sooo many signs and symptoms out there, but this list contains the ones I see most frequently.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผFor me insomnia, a racing heart, anxiety and lower belly bloating were huge.

๐Ÿ›For others it can be depression, uncontrolled sugar cravings, teeth grinding and headaches.

๐Ÿ‘๐ŸปWe are all unique and our bodies respond differently to parasites.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸผSome infections are deeper than others- especially if theyโ€™ve been there for a long period of time.

๐ŸงฌSome parasites make their way into tissue, organs, cells and the space in between cells- so each person will have their own unique set of symptoms.
